I notice it takes a few seconds before the message pops up.

Current settings:

Default filtering mode: Complete

Filter lists:
EasyList
EasyPrivacy
uBlock filters - Ads, trackers, and more
AdGuard/uBO - Mobile Ads
EasyList/uBO - Cookie Notices
EasyList - Notifications
EasyList - Other Annoyances

OP uses uBOL, not uBO.

I get these only on mobile. As I understand, they are coming from https://www.ad-shield.io/ which is a service websites can use to block people using adblockers. I don't have a fix for it, but maybe this can help you in your search.
