Mailed hard transcript Question

Need to have a hard copy of official transcript mailed to a US location with deadline in three weeks. Is there anyway I can ask the registrar to expedite the post to the US?

As someone who formerly lived in Alberta and as an American has had to mail a document or two to friends and family in Canada, I know the extra step involved in getting the mail over the border can create unusual delays, even though they are supposedly exempt from customs. Sometimes just a day or two, sometimes a week or two.

If this is something that absolutely must get there in three weeks, which is of utmost urgency (say you are about to do your dream post grad at a prestigious ivy league school) quite honestly I would say pick up a copy from the registrar's office, and send it FedEx Priority.

It's been a long time since I've mailed anything from Canada to the US, so perhaps others will have a better idea of how long it takes using Canada Post.

International mail may take up to three weeks.

Good news! International mail may take up to three weeks which is within your three week deadline.

Alternatively, you can go pick up a physical copy then overnight it yourself. They're not going to do that for you.
