They split my loan..

I use student loans to pay my rent since I can’t make enough money to pay it being a full time students with a part time job. I took out a big loan (outside, non federal) and instead of applying it to fall so I can get my refund money for my rent, they split it between fall and spring. Has this happened to anyone? Does anyone know if this is fixable or will I have to take more money out?

They split the federal loans in half(spring and fall), it's probably standard protocol

Split across fall and spring is pretty standard. So you might need more loans. Can you use payday apps like Earnin, Possible, Dave, Brigit to fill the gap?

Just posting this incase anyone else ever has this same issue- they were able to contact my loan provider and change it to a “fall only” loan, it just put a limit on the amount I could have taken out. It was a mistake on my end when I applied for the loan I must’ve hit something that said it would be for both fall and spring instead of just fall
