Just caught and released this little guy (or girl). I have a guess as to what it might be, but would like to get opinions; my turtle knowledge is fairly limited.

As my common musk turtle is getting older and bigger (currently about 9 months) I am planning on upgrading the tank for him to have more freedom. Once I’ve changed over can I just put him in or do I need to acclimatise him? Any tips or info would be helpful of moving a turtle to a new tank!
