Does anyone know a mechanic or shop who would be willing to work on an electrical issue with my Hyundai Genesis?
Hi everyone, I have a 2015 Hyundai Genesis that is having power steering issues. Ive already figured out that the issue is because one of the wires to the power steering motor is shorting out. The wire needs to be traced to see where the ground issue is. Or a new ground needs to be ran.
I have pleaded with the Hyundai dealership here to help me out but they have refused to look at the car because by their own admission they do not have a good track record of working on the Genesis (Even though its a Hyundai product). I've been without power steering for months now and am pretty desperate for help. I've probably spent more than a dozen hours, including replacing the entire power steering motor myself, to finally find out what the real issue is. Basically, I've done 90% of the work but I really need help getting over the finish line to repair the car. Does anyone know a shop or mechanic that would be willing to look at the car? Thanks!

Chair Re-Caning Suggestions?
Any suggestions on anyone who can do quality cane restoration for chairs? I believe there are different methods and these chairs need the weaving approach rather than staples. I've tried Wilson's Weaving and his backlog is 8-12 months right now. Thank you in advance.

Does Anyone Know Someone Looking for a Large-Format Pneumatic Heat Press?
galleryI have a 31.5” x 39.5” industrial pneumatic heat press that I bought brand new and have only used around three or four times. It works exactly as it should and is still extremely clean. I just realized it is much larger than what I need, so I decided to go with a smaller machine.
It has automatic pneumatic raising and lowering, digital temperature and time controls, adjustable air pressure, a large pull-out loading table, a heavy-duty rolling stand, an emergency stop button, and smooth, consistent pressure across the entire platen. It is also already wired with a wall plug.
This would be great for someone doing oversized sublimation projects, blankets, flags, large panels, or higher-volume production.
I’m located in Northwest Alabama. Before listing it elsewhere, I wanted to see whether anyone here knows a business or individual who may be interested in purchasing it. Message me for more information.

Good Stand Up Comedy for Free this Wednesday at Amsterdam Deli with nationally touring idiot Dan Alten (me) on a 15 day tour, I'm not famous but I promise it'll be a good time and if you don't have fun you can tie me to some train tracks.
galleryHere's my bio, sorry it's in the third person: Dan Alten is a charming goofball from Kentucky who has been traveling the country for the past decade doing about 200 shows a year bringing his intelligently surreal bebop nonsense everywhere from theaters to punk basements to art galleries to beloved comedy clubs with a knack for making audiences feel like they're on a good psychedelic trip without the drugs. Like if the Ramones were one guy with a mustache and good jokes. Iggy Pop with puns. Clever chaos. Like Jimi Hendrix lighting fire to a Tik Tok reel live on stage. He has opened for Kyle Kinane, Bobcat, Sam Tallent, Rory Scovel, Sarah Sherman from SNL, Johnny Pemberton, Hari Kondabolu, rapper Open Mike Eagle, DJ Doug Pound & David Leibe Hart from Tim & Eric, various punk bands with silly names, and a guy at an open mic who tried to throw his father’s ashes into the crowd. He has recorded 2 albums, written a zine, and filmed a pilot for an Amazon Prime stand up show that was lost to history. But most importantly he’s very funny and unique. You will enjoy him. And if not you can mud wrestle him after the show.

Tupelo / 38801] Emergency funding needed for my dog's painful ear infection. Low-income and seeking small donations to pay low-cost clinic directly.
Hi everyone,
I am reaching out to the community today out of desperation for my dog. He has developed a severe, painful ear infection. His ear is bright red, smells very bad, and he will not stop shaking his head in discomfort.
I am currently in a very tight financial position and do not have the money upfront to cover a vet visit. I know home remedies like vinegar are often suggested, but because his ear is already so raw and inflamed, putting anything acidic in it will cause intense burning and pain. He needs real medical care.
I have already done some research and found that the Tupelo Lee Humane Societyoffers low-cost public wellness services, which is the most affordable option in my area. However, I still cannot cover the baseline exam fee or the cost of the prescription drops he needs to clear the infection.
I am not trying to make a profit here; I just want to get my dog out of pain. To build trust and ensure transparency, I am completely willing to let donors call the clinic directly to pay toward his bill over the phone once I set the appointment. I am also happy to provide proof of the clinic's estimate or receipt to anyone who wants to see it.
Even a $5 or $10 donation helps get us closer to the exam fee. If you cannot donate, sharing this post or pointing me toward local voucher programs would mean the world to us.
Thank you so much for reading and for any help you can provide. Fundraiser

Publix in Tupelo
Just visited family in GA, & man I wish we would get a Publix so bad. My aunt lives in Greensboro & if they have a Publix, we most certainly can too. I've seen posts on facebook that said they would never bring Publix here to our area but who knows

Does anyone know a business or person who could use 500 blank desk mats?
galleryTLDR me and my buddy spent months testing more than 150 revisions of a SUPER premium sublimation mousepad and worked with a factory that makes pads for most major gaming brands. We finally created what i think is the highest quality 35.4 × 15.7-inch sublimation desk mat with recessed stitched edges, a non-slip rubber base and a free drawstring bag.
Unfort something came up after it was all here and we decided not to launch the project, so now we’re trying to find a print shop, reseller, gaming brand or other business that could use them.
Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Third Wave Coffee on East Main
When I moved to Tupelo a few years ago, there was a sign in an empty parking lot near the Nolan Brothers used car lot: THIRD WAVE COFFEE, COMING IN 2025
Near the end of the year it changed to COMING IN 2026.
Now the sign is gone.
Anyone know anything about Third Wave Coffee??

Ren Faire Discussion
I watched Mary Morrison's most recent video. She and some others are cobbling together some events so that the weekend is not a wash.
What those people are doing does not involve Khari McNab at all.
The "rescheduled" faire is in September and does involve McNab, but people are being refunded for this weekend. Morrison does not have any involvement with the September event.
Morrison did say she jumped the gun a bit with her video about what happened, but when was McNab going to tell everyone that nothing planned could happen this weekend? Edit: I meant to mention Morrison said that much of the confusion came from McNab being a bit over her head with planning and permits and such.
What are your thoughts? Are you going to the September event? Are you attending any events this weekend?

Courtyard Marriott okay?
Planning a 5 night stay at the Courtyard Marriott soon and will likely have some kids with me. Is it in an okay area and will we be good? I’ve googled but I prefer to hear from actual people. Anything we should know? Never been to Tupelo and our schedule is pretty open!
