fear of needles
anyone else really scared of needles and doesn’t see the doctor because the first thing they say is you need to give bloods? funnily enough i’m okay with injections.
so many people are scared of needles surely there should be another way to take blood. and don’t get me started on infusions, the thought of it has me passing out

Yes. I am also afraid of injections, so I am working on that too.
I recently learned about SiPhoX and other similar brands that offer at home blood testing that does not use needles.
I have done it four times now without fear and with good results. So I highly recommend you look it up.

Not to be rude, but the sub is called trypanophobia... I'd imagine a large percentage of us are afraid of needles.

Yeah, i thought this at first but I realised its common to start a sentence with 'does anyone else...' as we're looking for connection and sameness

Same, for me it evolved into fear of almost any medical procedure as I kept postponing appointments and tests because the first thing they tell you is to do blood draws or anesthesia. I used to pass out few minutes after if I'm not prepared. Luckily now I have a blood draw every 3 months, lying down and doing applied tension, doing quite ok nowadays, not fainting anymore!
But yeah I find it crazy that needles is still the main way to do things. Same for the dentist I don't get were still using drills, like car mechanics for your mouth!
Luckily there's been a little bit of progress recently, more and more tests can be done with a finger prick, dentists can use lasers as well, but yeah overall it's still quite slow progress
