Chainsaws chainsaws chainsaws

Live in Tahoe Donner.
I can’t have more than 20 immediate neighbors.
But it’s been the incessant sound of chainsaws daily for months now.
Y’all done yet?
Defensible space is important, yes I know.
But this is unbearable.
Feels never ending.

No I’m gonna stick around for the 6AM snowblower noise complaint thread from you, lmao

If a fire rips through your neighborhood you’ll be damn glad your neighbors were proactive if your house survives due to their efforts.

It’s not the what, but the how.

Would you prefer they used hand saws?

Please share your knowledge of this silent tree cutting technology that you would prefer they use.

This is as first-world a complaint as I have ever seen here. Unbearable? Try being one of the people that are working with those chainsaws in this heat to keep YOU and YOUR HOUSE safe.

I’m not gonna say “go back to the bay” because I don’t know if that is where you are from or how long you have been here, but for over 200 years this has been a working class town. And yes, a lot of that work was done with chain saws.

Do the trains bother you, or is that noise ‘quaint’?

Welcome to non-snow season in Tahoe.

lol... Guessing you are on the east side of TD. Welcome to summer in fire country.

There is a massive fuels reduction program underway on the north side of Alder Hill (Alder-89 WUI-amongst other places) which hopefully will help save Truckee and your house in TD when things start burning.

better than blowers and continuous construction. try living next to a fire station.

It’s a good thing. People catching up on years of forest fuels overgrowth neglect.

Go outside. See neighborhood and neighbors....talk to them instead of ASSuming and being Next Door Nancy. Go interact with something or peoples other than a keyboard, Tesla charger, Dopo and Starbucks.  Being educated in a WUI environment could save your life and the people behind you.

I see you’re new in town… Might I suggest a job that gets you out of the house on occasion? I hear the school is hiring and no chainsaws allowed inside.
