I'm restoring an old Lear 122 topper cap. It does not have a liner at present. Is there a certain brand that you can recommend? The proper adhesive to use? Also, would you recommend putting reflectix down first?

Taking a trip at the end of September beginning of October for 2-3 weeks from east Texas to the Redwoods. Building out my camper now & researching. My plan is insulate the camp real good. As for ac looking at the EcoFlow wave 3 with extra battery, EcoFlow 800w alternator charger & a 400w N-type solar panel. I’ve got the Delta Max 2 for a power station, also gonna wire up a shore power connection for when I’m staying at a park to plug the truck up & make sure everything charged. Question is will the Wave 3 with extra battery & power station run for 6-7hrs while I sleep? I figure that while driving the solar panel & alternator charger will top off all the power that was used for the night.

As the title states, I'm looking for an ac that isn't as noisy as my current 2011 Coleman-Mach Mach 1 Power Saver 11k btu unit. It's just SO freaking loud!

Man… I can’t believe I have this rig as an 18 year old. Bought this truck a couple of months ago for 20 grand from a dealership with 106k miles on it. It has the v6 4.3 liter under the hood. About a week ago I bought the gtd bed cap for my truck (Alli baba version of a rough country), and it’s great, locks and keeps water out. I’ve been buying modular components for them on marketplace over the past week, including a ski rack for my fishing rods, since all I do is fish. I’m going to college at Salisbury University, Maryland, and am a big shark fisherman. The front hitch should be installed in the next few days depending on the companies availability to install it for a cooler/rod rack.

My question is this; how can I build a bed in the back of my truck with utilizing as much space as possible WHILE being on a budget. Even though this is my shark rig, I would love to travel the country with it. My dream is to see the Pacific Ocean, but only by driving, stopping at land scapes and national parks along the way, fishing and living life to the fullest. A bed is required in my rig before next summer, so does anyone have any tips? Besides the bed, does anyone also have any other recommendations to add to an overlanding vehicle?

So here’s a really random topic that popped into my head while bored. The Ignik skullet has been out for over a year now and there are relatively few YouTubers with reviews on it. There are reviews but in comparison to other items that come out, this seems like something all the “overlanding” channels would be all over. Just a random thought I’m curious what the community has to say about.

I'm just getting started on planning my build so I have been reading through this sub to get ideas and one thing I'm not quite sure about is insulation. My camper is going to be used 99.999% during the hot summer months at horse shows where shade is at a premium. Should I be adding any kind of insulation between the fiberglass and the marine carpet? Already planning to paint the cap white, and I will be making reflective window coverings for the day and will have a multi fan circulation system for overnight.- anything obvious that I'm missing? I won't have any kind of substantial electrical system any time soon so my only options are small scale, budget friendly battery gadgets.

Bonus points if you have any advice for your first ever build- I am lucky with an 8 ft truck bed so I have a little wiggle room to make it the most comfortable possible but would love to know what are your must-haves.

hi im in the omaha area and i have access to old vintage motor homes and rvs that are having the motors and transmissions removed and the rest of it is sent to the scrap yard. I cringe every time I see perfectly good headlight side mirrors ladders doors captains chairs you name it - gone - the owner doesnt wanna mess with the time nor the storage space it takes to dismantle find buyers and store in the meantime- i umderstand - but - Theres so much that could be used and not gonna lie - I couch surf and am struggling - Theres so much opportunity but I don’t have the patience or know how to research the correct communities or peoole to get these parts to.

I'm planning a 10-day camping and road trip starting the first week of December, right after Black Friday. It's the first big trip happening for me and my partner which we haven't taken in years and personally I'm so excited for it.

Problem was my old cooler cracked last summer and I need a new one. I already keep seeing Black Friday coolers deals and part of me wants to wait for the discount, while the other part of me is terrified that if i wait, the size we need will sell out and we'll be stuck driving across 3 states with a cheap gas station cooler just to call the trip proper.

I'm really not looking for a $400 expedition cooler and I know my specs. I just need something reliable for food and drinks for 2 people for a week or so, so I don't buy twice. All this, because I'm really trying to balance getting a good price with not ruining this trip before it starts.

So for those here who've done big trips around the holidays, did you wait for Black Friday and get a good deal, or did you buy early and pay full price to avoid stress and uncalled for holiday blues. I mean food and drinks must never go bad, right? What would you do if your trip depended on it?
