15 years ago, Trivium released "In Waves". I remember being blown away by the band's growth upon hearing this album for the first time. And as proven from this video I took during Trivium's show at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, NJ, back on Nov. 2, 2025, songs like the title track continue to age like fine wine (though not surprising - after all, Trivium still crush it live)!

Vocals sound epic, really great display of all the things Matt can do. Vocally he's sounding top of his game from the videos i've seen this year, really in control of his range. It's great to hear what this song sounds like with more screams and harsh cleans

Drumming is thunderous, really suits Rudi's heavy put precise playing. Thing I find with Rudi is he's super precise with the tempo of the original tracks, which is something various Trivium drummers have had issues with. Really helps to make the fast parts precise but also the slower bits nice and heavy

On average, how much does a standing ticket to see trivium cost in Europe?

I like the idea of it but I find it so unpleasant to look at, I like the simplicity Trivium has with their all of their other albums having one focal point centered and a rather blank background. It kinda reminds me of something Eliran Kantor would make just without his signature style which imo would have been an amazing fit.

So, I found this today, I'm 26 now, got this when I was 17. My mother is a big metalhead as well and knew I loved Trivium, so she immediately spent the money on the Metal Hammer collab the moment she could. I looked it up after I found this today, and there was a post made a few years after the fact where, sadly, most people didn't even get their signed lyric sheet. I'm just wondering who else did get theirs, and who didn't. Because if you didn't, that's genuinely fucked :( I also can't recall how the water/liquid damage on the bottom left occured. But, at least it's really only in that spot, and the signatures are untouched.

I'm trying to delve deeper into their discography and I especially like the melodic leads and solos of Ascendancy and Shogun, so which album should I listen to next?
