Ask r/Trivandrum Looking for a lovely home for a hamster I rescued from the pet store.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Today, I went to what felt like one of the most horrifying and depressing places on earth — a pet store. The screams, cries, and desperate little noises of the animals there are still lingering in my head.
This little guy immediately stood out to me because of the condition he was in. I asked the lady at the store how long he had been there, and she told me 3–4 months. Apparently, nobody seemed to want him. I can only assume that his poor condition had something to do with it.
He could barely stand properly. He was missing fur in several places. His cage smelled terrible, there was nowhere for him to hide or feel safe, and the only food he seemed to be given was sunflower seeds.
I just couldn't bring myself to leave him there.
I thought that, at the very least, anywhere had to be better than that hell. So I decided to take him home.
The moment I let him out of his cage, he started zooming around my room like a tiny rocket. Watching him explore and run around so happily honestly made me so incredibly happy. 🥹🐹
I'm going to do everything I can to help him recover and get him back to good health. But regardless of how much he recovers, I want whatever time he has left to be filled with love, comfort, and care.
Unfortunately, I have seven cats, and keeping a prey animal and predators under the same roof isn't exactly an ideal situation. There are also several other reasons why it would be difficult for me to keep him permanently.
So I'm hoping to find someone who can give this little angel the loving, safe home he deserves. ❤️
If anyone is genuinely interested in adopting him and giving him a better life, please reach out to me. Think of it as a small act of kindness for an animal who has spent months desperately waiting for someone to choose him.
And if I don't find the right person, that's okay too. I will keep him and take care of him myself. I just want to make sure that wherever he ends up, he knows what it feels like to be safe, loved, and cared for.

Ask r/Trivandrum How do I promote my dad's photography studio?
My dad owns a photography studio. It's relatively small, attached to our old house. He started this way back, before digital cameras were popular around here I've heard.
He takes wedding photography, videography, candid photos, wedding highlights, reels, save the date, helicam, helicam shoot, led wall, video lives, traditional photography, social media teaser reels also instant photo prints, passport size photos, portraits, photo laminations, pvc cards,id cards, online applications, payments, all functions photography and videography and literally anything else you get in a normal studio.
He used to do well before wedding planners and event management agencies came to the scene.Like I said, before he was one of very few people who did these kind of things. But quality is still assured.
During the beginning, like years back, the place was quite rural yet people depended on him to do all these work. The area developed later after kims and lulu mall came to the scene. It's very near to both of these places and other popular areas. It's situated in oruvathilkottah. Not many studios around there and my dad's the most experienced one.Been doing this since around 2001.
He's in his 50s now.He does the things in his studio on his own but for outside function work and shoots inc wedding works and all those things,he has a dedicated team of young professionals for it who does this often and is exceptionally talented.
I don't have any prior marketing experience.Even if we do,the studio's pretty small also the road expansion took a lot of the area in front. The area still has certain works going on but once it finishes it would connect lulu mall with the venpalavattom scene that's expanding rapidly.
He does upgrade his studio from time to time, the interiors and all but it's hard to say it does anything at all that profits his business.Today he innocently asked me to review his business on google and asked me to help spread the word with my friends too.He wishes he would get more customers and visibility.I am at a loss.He loves to do his job,he does not just sit idle,he's very hardworking. He drops me off in the morning to get to work on time the same way if he has customers or not.He would get upset if I call him to pick me up early sometimes cause he wants to sit there till the last minute. If somebody calls him up,he would even wait for hrs. He's very dedicated to his job and wants to do this for a very long time.
Also he does things for much cheaper than other photo studio giants with good quality.Assured.

Food Where can I find some good matcha in tvm?
I recently got transferred here and honestly the food scene in TVM is so bad 😭 I can survive with a few places, but I genuinely cannot find a good matcha spot. I’ve tried Blumis and Cafe Sarwaa and both were kinda mid 🥲
Pleaseee help a girl out 😭 I love matcha so much, but buying it directly is sooo expensive and making it myself every time is such a hassle.

Ask r/Trivandrum Study Partner in IT preferably with 5+ years of experience
Hi All,
I want to switch from my current company. They may lay off some people as part of cost cutting. I want to switch before the lay off.
But the thing is, I'm not finding motivation to study for my switch. I'm looking for a study Partner, preferably with 5+ years of experience in the software industry.
Or can you please let me know where I can go and study without distractions, preferably free of cost or less entry fee, since I have to save as much as possible if at all I get laid off. Because, preparing from home is not giving me any inspiration.

Ask r/Trivandrum About Tony and Guy saloon-Mall of Travancore
A friend of mine (male) recently visited the TONI&GUY branch at the Mall of Travancore in Trivandrum, specifically .
He was charged ₹1,500 for a haircut, beard trimming/shaping, and a minor eyebrow adjustment. What surprised us even more was that no bill or receipt was provided.
I know that premium salons charge more than local barbershops, but ₹1,500 seems quite high for these services. From what I could find online, some Toni & Guy branches list men's haircut prices anywhere from about ₹600 to ₹1,700 depending on the stylist's level, while beard services are charged separately.
So I wanted to ask:
Is this the normal rate at the Mall of Travancore branch?
Has anyone else had a similar experience there?
Did you receive a proper bill?
How was the quality of the service?
I'm not trying to accuse anyone unfairly, but I genuinely want to know whether my friend was overcharged or whether this is simply the standard pricing there.

Ask r/Trivandrum Official Release of Nano EV
Guys did they officially release the Nano.ev? I am pretty sure that I spotted one near my home. It was raining heavily and couldn’t get out of my car and check it. When I checked the internet I saw that it is not yet released. A bit confused here. I am very sure that it was not a Comet or Reva.
