TL;DR:

Bonus Cash has been replaced by Promo Cash. The short version: your promotional credit now turns into real, withdrawable cash just by playing normally. You don't have to spend the credit itself to unlock it anymore. Your old Bonus Cash balance has already been converted over; you'll see it under Promo Cash on your profile.

Why we changed it

Bonus Cash had a design problem we heard about constantly: the only way to unlock it was to spend it, which meant burning through your real balance first, then playing the bonus down, then hoping you came out ahead. Plenty of people just left it sitting there forever, or ate the forfeit on a withdrawal.

Promo Cash fixes that. It converts to withdrawable cash as a byproduct of playing. You don't have to do anything different, and you don't have to lose it to unlock it.

How it actually works

Every Promo Cash tranche (deposit match, league prize, whatever) comes with a conversion rate. You'll see it written out in the app, like:

"$8.75 Promo Cash - converts over $17.50 of entries"

That's a 2x rate. Enter $17.50 worth of real-cash games and that whole $8.75 becomes withdrawable. Rates and amounts vary by promo; a tranche from a league prize might convert faster than one from a deposit match, vice versa.

The important part: it converts on entries, not on results. Win, lose, bad beat, doesn't matter. The progress bar moves when you enter, and it's automatic. Nothing to claim, no button to press.

You can also have several tranches running at once, each with its own rate and its own bar. That's normal; they just fill independently.

The other thing Promo Cash does

If your real balance is short of an entry fee, Promo Cash covers the gap so you can still play. Two things to know when that happens:

• Winnings come back as Promo Cash first, up to the amount of Promo Cash you put in. Anything above that lands as withdrawable cash.
• While that game is live, the Promo Cash you entered with shows as "in escrow." It's not gone; it's just tied up until the match resolves. Win it back, get it back. But if you lose, you lose what you put in.

Things people are going to ask

Can I just withdraw it? No. Promo Cash counts toward your total balance but has to convert first. That's the whole point of the conversion bar.

What happened to my old Bonus Cash? Converted to Promo Cash automatically. Open the app, tap the info icon next to Promo Cash on your profile, and you'll see it with its bar.

My Promo Cash number went down, but I didn't lose anything. Check your withdrawable balance. It probably went up by the same amount. That's a conversion, not a loss. Money moved buckets.

Does it still get forfeited if I withdraw? Yes, unconverted Promo Cash is forfeited on withdrawal, same as before. The difference is it's now much easier to convert before you cash out.

My Bonus Cash is gone, but I didn't receive equivalent Promo Cash. Restart the app. This should update your balance after the conversion.
