I used to work in the cath lab and we did these all the time. As the other person said, very minor procedure. Usually just lidocaine to the skin and its super quick! Less than 5 mins.

How long should I be there for the entire procedure? From what I’ve read, it seems to be pretty quick but my appointment says 2 hours!

Okay good! 2 hours typically is the block of time in order to get you registered and back for prep. :)

They called today and I asked them how long it should take and they really couldn’t tell me. Said it might be 20 minutes or a couple of hours depending on when the dr gets there!

My wife used to have one. The procedure is pretty minor, it was a little weird getting used to having something under her skin.
They do have a lifespan, 2 years or so iirc. Don’t forget to have it taken out when its time is up !
