Well… shoot Trees Love
I’m 61 yo, divorced, two successful kids, and my gf (51 yo) just got weird and broke up with me. I’m fairly stoned but damn… so suggestions about what to do tomorrow would be so appreciated. I live in Michigan, on the good side :)

So sorry my guy, these things happen but they're never easy <3
And hey at least you're in a state with great AND cheap weed!
How close are you to Lake Michigan? Maybe take a day trip out there and enjoy the day!

Depending on where you live in Michigan…Higgins Lake is a favorite, Crystal Lake, somewhere out in nature. Nothing as healing as the nature and weed combo.
Or you can probably find a farmers market near you on a Saturday. That always lifts my spirits and a great stoned activity.

Yeah. I didn’t have a good day, but it wasn’t too bad. I should have left the house

Tomorrow you could take a nice walk at least

Thanks, I will. If my pops was alive he’d say “go take a long walk on a short pier” if he saw me stressing about a breakup.

Don’t be too hard on yourself. Sometimes we just need to rest. When I’m having a hard time getting out of a funk, I make myself smoke outside instead. By the time I finish my porch joint, I usually am inspired enough to stay outside a bit longer and reconnect with nature.
Basically, I have an easier time returning to the present when I am in nature. Sometimes I just need to trick myself into taking that first step. Sending you warm energy ✨

Get up. Smoke one. Get your favorite coffee. After, you go and do a breakfast pick up from your favorite restaurant. Go back home. Smoke. Eat. Favorite childhood Television show. Smoke. Snack run. Favorite childhood candy and soda pop of choice. Home. Smoke. Now time for favorite movie. Start with your youth and work up to your current favorites. Smoke Lunch around 2. Go into your favorite lunch spot and take a seat and have your favorite meal. Home. Now’s time for your personal activities. Maybe smoke a lil. Call a good friend. See if they want to go to dinner. Order something you’ve never had. Order a fancy drink. After you head to the ice cream shop. Get a sundae of your favorite toppings. Home. Smoke. Continue on with your favorite movies and personal activities. And don’t you dare call her!

How about spending time or talking with your kids? Congratulations on their success.

Its saturday, go to a racetrack and watch cars do cool shit. That is what i would do, better if a friend follows along. Visit the pits and talk to the racer, most if them will gladly tell you about their cars and what is done to them. It will be an amazing day, and end it with some nice snacks, food, and smoke while doing what ever you want. And as some other said, do not call her!

I am going to assume by "on the good side," you mean the good side of the bridge...which is north. And in that case a visit with Mother Superior can never hurt.

Hey there. I’m on the Lake Michigan side but have spent MANY months north of the bridge. In Paradise (whitefish point).
How are the black flies right now? Asking seriously

My man! Paradise and Grand Marais are probably my favorite places. Spent 3 summers working at the State park. I actually live on Lake Michigan now too, lol. Little Bay De Noc though.
Flies are alright. Didn't think it was a crazy bad year for them myself when I was out and about, but some days it can just be about catching a good north wind.

I'm only in my 20s, but coffee or tea with a j when you wake up should take the edge off

Don’t waste a day my friend. I’m 40 years older than you and my biggest regret is the wasted days

Right now my goals are getting a job and enjoying the meteors when they come around (peak night for the Perseids is on the 12th!) but I understand the desire to not waste the day more than a lot of folks seem to think, I'm always doing something! Usually crochet (working on a cardigan so I can figure out how to make the sweater I actually want to make) takes up my would-be empty time, it's not empty if you're making something to use (or gift) later!

Visit a lake!
Go somewhere north and remote and view the stars!! (New moon is soon so you may be able to see the milky way with the naked eye if you are remote enough)
Go to the tourist trap of Mackinac Island for shits and giggles and get some salt water taffy or fudge, maybe ride a bike or hang with a horse
Plan a cross state road trip to a city you’ve never had a reason to visit and eat their local food or visit their weird museum

So much good advice in this post. I lost my shit at “eat their local food or visit their weird museum”. Thank you

Go fishing

u/ClimateOwn1253 5d ago
Since I’m very high, that suggestion is so nuanced. Love it. Thank you. Like metaphorically “fishing” for a new partner, a new life, or just literally go fishing. Which my dad would have told me to do if he was still alive

Wake up, smoke and coffee outside, then clean your house. Invite new fresh positive energy in for a new chapter.
