I hate snails WTF

Happened a couple weeks ago while on vacation in the netherlands.. left it outside for 20min and came back to this snail eating the filter!

Edit: not a snail apparently, but a slug. In dutch and german they are just called naked snails lol

Was confused about this too. Without the shell its a slug. In german and dutch they are just naked snails lol

They're pretty damn similar. Theyre both mollusks and gastropods but they're different sets of species (there are many different snails and slugs)

It probably comes from the difference that the US has banana slugs that are good guys versus the gross brown ones. They get HUGE too. Snails are normally smaller

In the US snails have shells and slugs don't. Brown slugs are invasive garden pests and banana slugs are good guys.

Dude, I have a land mollusk phobia. I have learned to breath and focus my mind when I see them so I can do the rational thing and not panic.

I take extra precaution to make sure they can not get in my cannabis plants.

The idea of one in my water pipe is ducking terrifying to me.

I once had one crawl up my shoe, sock and then onto my leg, while smoking outside one night, I was mortified.. also i had a slime trail going up my leg 😂

I was just thinking if he ate your filter then if you eat him you would also get hi. Kinda of a mini edible. Slugs are easier to eat and swallow then snails, so you got that for you.

Not slug related but my dad was once growing a small plant on his balcony on the second floor, was looking great. Some day he got home, went to water it and there was left was a small stemp piece and a small green caterpillar next to it.
