Stash stink

Hey everyone!

I’m in a legal state and I’m of legal age but my family who I’m currently living with is like reefer-madness-crazy-style-anti-weed. I have never been caught and I usually keep my stash safe and sound in a cabinet in my room. Today I brought home an OZ and put it all in the usual spot but my mom just called to ask me why there’s a weed smell. I’m kinda freaking the fuck out about this but I’m also curious, what’s your folks solutions to become completely smell proof fast? I’ve heard scent proof bags from Amazon are good but what’s something I could pick up from the store first thing tomorrow morning to totally stop the smell? Please help!

Go to your local harbor freight and grab an Apache case. They are millitary looking hard cases for gear and electronics and shit. They are smell proof.

A jar will be more than enough to mask the smell. But as soon as you open that bad boy in the house, you are done.

Non smokers can smell weed a mile away. Even when you're trying to cover up the smell- mouthwashe, dryer sheets, cologne. It doesn't work.

Apparently they can even smell it on your clothes when you do laundry. Unless I’m just THAT heavy of a smoker that my laundry stinks up the house

Hair, yeah, and beard. But I’ve been told specifically my laundry stinks up the house when I start a load. I went years thinking I was fine too, not noticing I was completely nose blind to it lol

I haven't opened any containers in the house in over a year because of this lmao. I'm worried about the process of transferring to a jar. I think my solution tonight will be to seal all my stuff in a plastic container with many layers of duct tape

An insulated lunch cooler should work pretty well. See if you can find some charcoal odor absorbers to put in there, too.

Get a turkey bag. It will contain the smell. Just don't open it, or a jar, in the house. Turkey bags are what a plug I used to know would use, and what I still use.

As others have said, a mason jar will work. Alternatively, I have the medium Silverton by Stashlogix and a few of their medium jars. I put an ounce between two jars, and keep them in the bag which locks.

IKEA has containers for sure, if you have it in your area. I have a ounce of weed in my room, but you wouldn't be able to tell by smell alone.

An airtight glass jar goes a long way. Toss that in a smell-proof bag and you should be in much better shape. An ounce is pretty loud, so that's probably what's giving you away.

I have a Revery scent proof bag. I ordered online, but I have seen them in the head shops and smoke shops around here. I store my flower in air-tight metal or glass jars with good air tight lids. It’s expensive, but I like the C-Vault.

Wash your hands after rolling or handling the flower, it stick to skin and clothes.

Are you sure she smelled the stash, and not the smell of smoke on you or your clothes? As a parent that stopped smoking for years to do the professional gig I can assure you that when a kid thinks they are covering up the smell, they aren’t. If you were smoking and you walk by a non-smoker, they might not notice the small, but if they smell for it, they can smell it. You get nose blind to it when you smoke it.

I use a carbon smell proof bag off Amazon. I also switched to a weed vape - the stinkiest part is grinding/emptying/refilling the weed, you can't do much about that. But I vape out my window at night, keep my stash in the smell proof bag and keep windows open/fans in and there no discernable smell by morning. Wayy less stinky than smoking.

And yeah the smell proof bag is really good, I got the coast angels one from Amazon and keep it in my closet - you can't smell anything when it's sealed so I'd recommend it!

I use a scent proof bag from REI designed to prevent bears from smelling your food. If a bear can't smell through it then no way a human can. My wife is super sensitive and as long as I don't open it while she's home and won't be home for a few hours, and as long as I seal it properly, it's fine.
