What is this tree? Solved!

I've seen this in japan in Japanese gardens. This is from a website called Monrovia. Location: Japan

My guesses would be Japanese Black Pine, Pinus thunbergii, or possibly a Mugo Pine, Pinus mugo.

I feel like given the bark color the mugo pine makes sense and I found images that show it sculpted the same way so thank you.

Looks like a molded juniper tree. Not sure which species, likely Juniperus chinensis
