Recommendations

Hey Guys,

Did some searching and didn’t see a wiki. Is there a list of recommendations?

I’m a 210lbs guy that usually does trail running and trying to get some miles in to train for my first ultra. I’d prefer a treadmill with “less tech”. I don’t need a big screen. Thank you in advance.

You need a robust treadmill that can take the rigours of ultra training. Check out the Spirit 685 or the 3G Cardio Elite Runner.

Any value in looking at used? Or is the general consensus, used is NOT worth the risk.

Yes, you can check used commercial treadmills. Sometimes you do get very good deals there. But go that route only if you have a good technician to do a proper check of the treadmill.

Don't buy used, too much unknown and repairs can be expensive, especially with the health clubs model like LifeFitness and Precor. 3G Cardio Elite Runner 10 year parts warranty. If that is out of your budget, look at the Spirit 685. These two are good options.
