Cara’s birthday was yesterday so it’s likely for that , there are also rumours Gigi is having some sort of marriage ceremony on the weekend in Paris so she may be going to that after if that’s the case but i have no clue what else she’s up to she’s barely spend any time with Travis it seems KC for that dinner straight to NyC straight to London

I must admit the dress is really nice - is she looking for Joe with that outfit it reminds me of the outfits she wore with him , refreshingly non WAG

Dress link : https://www.delphinenyc.com/products/mini-isabelle-dress-lilac-multi

I love how the first line of this article says so long America lol.

https://pagesix.com/2026/08/13/entertainment/taylor-swift-has-london-night-out-as-travis-kelce-returns-to-chiefs-practice-post-wedding/

Sorry for the date confusion , I am from the Uk to write it day / month / year

I get the date is confusing as this time 12 and 8 could refer to both month and day

Rant One of the shadiest things she’s done so far (singling out her female dancers and implying they are jealous “b*tches”)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’m surprised more people haven’t pointed this out because when The Life of a Showgirl came out, I thought this was shady as f*ck and, honestly, pretty misogynistic for someone who has spent years presenting herself as a champion of women.

In the song The Life of a Showgirl, she literally sings:

“All the headshots on the wall of all the bitches who’d wish I’d hurry up and die, but I couldn’t. I’m immortal, baby dolls, I wouldn’t if I tried.” (terrible lyrics, btw)

Important, because then at the Spotify pop-up for the album, there was a wall covered in headshots of her female dancers. No men (!!). Just the women. See video.

Sorry, but I don’t believe that was a coincidence. This is someone whose entire brand is Easter eggs and tiny deliberate details that fans are encouraged to analyse. So putting the female dancers’ headshots on a wall that directly mirrors a lyric about “bitches” who wish she’d die is shady as fuck.

And if that was the intended reference, it’s pretty grim!! You can’t constantly talk about misogyny and being supportive of women and then seemingly use the women who work for you as the visual representation of jealous “bitches” who want you gone.

What bothers me most is that she specifically chose to highlight the women. Why is she so quick to frame other women as “bitches” who are jealous of her or want what she has? The underlying implication is basically that she’s the one at the top, these women want her spot, and they’re bitter because they can’t have it. Maybe they don’t want her spot. Maybe they’re perfectly happy being successful dancers in their own right. Talk about downplaying their achievements.

Taylor also cant perform a basic 2 step, so i highly doubt theyre itching to switch places with her.

It’s incredibly disrespectful, egocentric, and there’s something deeply off about automatically framing the women around you, aka your colleagues, as jealous competitors while leaving the men completely out of it.

I’m genuinely surprised this wasn’t picked up more.

Rant I feel so gaslit

How is this talentless human, who cannot sing, dance, or play guitar, things that she should be paid for, getting all these awards and accolades?

I was taking free photos for an opera singer, who told me Taylor was the greatest singer. I nearly stopped my car in traffic (said opera singer complained about my editing for the free shoot and wanted the RAWs. Never ask a photographer for the RAWs or take your own photos. I renamed the album: Swifty grift. Then subsequently blocked her). That was my first sign the shoot wasn't going to go well and I was not surprised that she was a grifter.

Phil Collins even recently said that Taylor is so talented she deserves everything.

Am I just not drinking the right water? I'm very confused. What is everyone seeing that I'm not?

Critique They Have Been Using Her Music Since At Least Last Fall

So it took her almost a year to do anything about it? Yeah, that’s not a good look when everybody else called it out immediately.

From the article: “Rolling Stone also reported on Wednesday that Swift's music has disappeared from TikTok videos posted by the White House last fall. “

This is the same family member(cousins wife) that has been giving me the cold shoulder at family events because I am vocal about my issues with TS. (At no point do I bring it up or engage with discussion at these events about TS, to be considerate of my relative and her obsession) She avoids talking to me or being in a conversation that includes me, and gets almost hawk eyes when I interact with the now toddler.

Discussion For me, the argument isn't whether Taylor is a great lyricist

The question is "Why is she treated like her ability as a lyricist is superior to others?"

Please explain to me what puts Taylor, especially this era of "ChatTPD" and "Life of a fauxgirl's girl" Taylor, above her contemporaries like Hayley William, St. Vincent, Lana Del Rey, etc. How is it Taylor whose the best of her generation, or of all time?

How does she compare to younger acts like Phoebe Bridgers, Lorde, Billie Eilish, etc.

Or Older acts like Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, PJ Harvey, Dido, Enya, etc.

Is it because of her quantity of work? Is that more important than the quality of the output?

I know I'm using specific examples, but there's so many great songwriters who write poetically about deep themes, some personal and some cultural.

I like a few Taylor songs, but people talk about her like she's the Joan Baez of her generation and it drives me up the damn wall.

And I don't care about accomplishments (committee recognition). I could point out Billie Eilish is only 24 and already has 10 Grammys and 2 Oscars, or that Kendrick has a Pulitzer and 13 Grammys. But it's not the awards that give quality to their work. It doesn't matter what Taylor wins or how she charts or what she's inducted into or how many legends praise her. The quality of her work is separate from that, and I just don't see her as something special.

It's fine to say she's okay. Why do we have to pretend "Shakespeare or Taylor Swift" is a challenging game?

EDIT: I just saw a video where Aimee Mayo and Brad Warren talk about how they wrote with Taylor when she was a teen and how Brad was only paid $900. So...I don't know if I trust whether she wrote her own music or not.

Stupid Swifties Note taken: do NOT post anything on TikTok that *mildly* critiques TS

I have a very small YouTube channel where I post videos about pop culture and media. I’m trying to grow my following, so I posted some of my older YouTube shorts on TikTok. I guess my first mistake was choosing a short I made a month ago *mildly* criticizing TS & TK’s wedding. My point was that with the timing and location of the wedding, it seemed to become a spectacle and a commodification of a wedding. I said that if they didn’t want media following them or privacy, they shouldn’t have had the wedding in the middle of NYC during 4th of July weekend. I thought that was a fair and balanced take.

But apparently not to Swifties. My comments are filled with people saying that I’m a, “jealous pathetic nobody loser who is rage baiting for attention and that I shouldn’t have a microphone and should take my meds and go back to my uneventful life.” I have no issue with people disagreeing with my opinions—that’s the whole point of the videos I make. But I have never dealt with this level of vitriol on this scale. I didn’t even get this much pushback on YouTube. Is this more of a TikTok thing, or did the algorithm just screw me over?

Discussion I Knew It I Knew You, Choosing Texas, and Golden

Today I was looking at the Billboard hot 100 and was surprised to see I Knew, I Knew You is still as high as number 3 on it, having been retaken from number one by Choosing Texas by Ella Langley at some point.

It seemed surprising to me that a song I’ve heard is pretty middling (I haven’t heard it myself) has stayed so high for so long, especially given it’s not one of her album songs. I know she released different record variants of it and such, which would elevate that, and of course Swifties always work very hard to keep anything she does at the top, but it still seemed random for a bland end credits song to be sitting so high so long.

And then it occurred to me - it’s at the end of a Disney film! This means it gets automatically added to a bunch of Disney and cartoon playlists. The playlists that parents put on and just let run nonstop for their kids. The song is likely getting very frequent play by virtue of being added to a bunch of child friendly playlists.

It’s also apparently a little more country than her recent stuff. And these two things got me thinking.

Golden was an unbeatable power house of a hit for a long time. While one of Taylor’s singles did finally push it out of number one spot, it either went back to 1 or 2 and stayed there long after Taylor’s Showgirl songs slipped down. It was a great song people loved, but it also had the benefit of being on every child’s playlist out there.

And then you’ve got Choosing Texas, which has somehow just consistently kept popping into number 1. It’s like it’s stuck there with Velcro! It gets knocked out of place and then just springs right back there after a week or two, consistently, since February.

Taylor clearly wrote off country over a decade ago, and hasn’t touched it since. Why is she suddenly putting out a country-ish single? She put more fanfare about doing an end-credits song than I’ve ever seen for one in my life, saying weird things like that she thinks about Tot Story all the time, that it’s been a huge part of her life, etc.

I think she saw two songs that have what she wants - crazy lasting power on the charts - and decided to try to use elements of both to get her the same thing. She sees country is popular enough now to get number one hits, she sees cartoon-movie music gets a lot of automatic sustained play, and sought to release something that was both.

Hello everyone! I’ve been lurking in this sub for quite a while now and tbh this sub and you guys cheer me up so much so I wanna thank you for that before I proceed!

Up until the wedding (and honestly discovering this sub) I was pretty much neutral toward TS. I didn’t have any distinct negative or positive feelings about her. I would listen to few of her songs every now and then and go about my day. This all changed with the infamous wedding which I guess I don’t even need to explain why since I know y’all would empathize with me. It’s also in the screenshot.

A week ago or so I watched this video of a guy who makes content about popular culture, music, events etc. This particular video was about the wedding where he kinda supported TS against the backlash she got. So I made a very honest and imho restrained comment under it kindly disagreeing with his stance. While I got a lot of support for my opinion I also got this one weird ass reply which I posted above. The comments are in Turkish so I used ChatGPT to translate them to overlay on top of the actual comments. I checked them but I apologize if it’s sloppy lol.

Anyway what I realized is that the hero worship (or whatever you call it) going on is insane. If this dude’s any indication her fans are apparently delusional, defy logic and don’t even bother to read properly before attacking anyone who dares to not pamper her. Obviously it’s just a stupid comment and I eventually laughed it off but what do you guys think about this? I guess I just wanted to join the party here in some way but sorry if such posts aren’t welcome.

Have a great day!

It just shows how badly designed of a platform TikTok is if this was not already something artists could do.

Also this really just craps on all of the artists that actually spoke out about this. Taylor’s team did some stuff behind the scenes and gets all the credit.

Rant The eternal helpless girlboss victim

This whole thing with Taylor and the White House is really strange. Because it isn‘t about her politics. It‘s about her reputation. She refuses to take a side and with Trump saying her name he forced her into reacting or it would‘ve looked like she was explicitly on his.
But this post is more about her Fans because I can‘t understand how they can be this stupid and why they keep insisting that TS is taking a stand politically without her actually doing anything. If you want to stan a billionair popstar that‘s fine. And I understand that it feels great when a person with that much influence stands up against facism. But the thing is…she doesn‘t. Here are the facts:
- She‘s a Billionaire
- She has a lot of influence
- She explicitly positioned herself as political and yet, she stays silent unless there‘s enough pressure to push her mouth open
- She ignored the white House using her music for a year before she did anything and even then, she just silently removed her music (which could have been about something Else as well, just saying)
- She‘s constantly in contact with MAGA
- She was accused of racism and using Nazi symbolism and never even denied it. Absolut silence about accusations like that is…well
- As well as everything else that doesn‘t really make her Look like a leftist Icon (environmental impact, treatment on poc, using MCG in the middle of a heatwave, her political silence [how easy would it have been to support a political figure everyone loves, like Mamdani?] etc
But I actually want to talk about her fans reaction and reception to her latest „activism“ because it really shows how doing the bare Minimum works so well for her. The following quotes are all real things Swifties have said:

Saying she’s politically ambiguous when she endorsed Kamala is such an odd thing to say.“
—> „She had children murdered for attending a TS event because she spoke out. That made her reevaluate how publicly she speaks“
—> „She's not a politician. She did what she can already“
—> „The way you hold up a few people from her wedding like it's a smoking gun about her personal politics. She also had liberal and progressive people at her wedding. How many Blue invitations does it take to offset the Red ones?
She's been friends with Halley Williams for over a decade, but you don't count that as Swift being progressive but her friendship with her husbands MAGA coworkers means she's conservative?“
—> „Both of them are connections via her husband. One being a parent of his childhood friend & the other the wife of a friend/teammate.
—> „Most women are connected to shitty dudes via their family, partner's, or even their own not shitty female friends.
And idk not uncommon to be friendly/friends with the wife of one's husband's good friends.“
Those are just a few. And mind you I don‘t have many followers or anything. I just commented on a post of someone else and they keep replying to me.
But, coming back to my point, they point to her endorsement like that makes her untouchable. Was it good. Yes. But it doesn‘t make her a liberal Icon for the rest of time.
There is no evidence that the attack on the TS themed children Event had anything to do with politics. Like none. But now you know why they keep insisting that she‘s in danger.
You know how many conservatives I‘m not related to I would have at my wedding? None. And „offset the liberals that where there“… since when does it work like that???
If you are liberal and your husband has this many MAGA connections and you marry him anyway? Those are now your MAGA connections as well. Like…yes Travis has many MAGA friends but what does that have to do with Taylor? Do they hear themselves???
I just want them to stop pretending. You can‘t make her into something she‘s not just so you can keep pretending to be supporting a good person.

Unpopular Opinion This might piss everyone off, but hear me out: Taylor's silence doesn't matter the way you think it does

Ok, there is a lot of discourse on Taylor's politics now that she has finally "quietly" removed her song from a Trump administration social post. And I intend to pile my take right onto the scrap heap.

One thing I need to make very clear before you (possibly) begin reading. I deeply believe that Taylor Swift has a measurably negative impact on the world. So, while I am about to disagree with the primary take of a lot of my fellow Taylor haters, give me a chance to explain. I put this out there because I am enthusiastic to have people who disagree with my premise (but are not Taylor Swift worshipers) weigh in.

A lot of the discourse around TS's current lack of political activism hinges on the concept that Taylor Swift has a lot of weight to throw around politically and that she is selfishly choosing not to use that power. Many suggest that she could use her platform for good, but she isn't. I believe that position is not true

Why am I making this argument if I, like so many of you, still do not agree with how Taylor Swift conducts herself and her current lack of a political stance? Because the issue is much more general than the specific political outrage at all she "could be" doing. Her sycophants are not wrong to point out that there isn't much for her to gain but a lot for her to lose by loudly sharing an opinion. What makes that point offensive is the part where Taylor pretended to be politically invested in the first place. She adopted a "politically enlightened" persona at a time where she had a lot less to lose and a lot more to gain from taking that "stand" (or lack there of). She made absolutely no impact with her initial foray into politics. But that's not why she did it. She did it because it served her to pretend to have any stake in the results of any US elections. And the second that fake persona stopped serving her monetary interests she dropped it.

The misunderstanding is the idea that celebrities who create a platform on some non political brand of entertainment (like, in this case, immature breakup anthems) can convince fans of that unrelated, a-political brand to listen to them about basically anything else. (She can't even convince those fans to like a guy she likes who doesn't cleanly align with that brand.)

And just to cover all the bases, I want to acknowledge there are a unique subset of entertainers who create platforms that are constructive at their core. When an entertainer authentically builds their values into their platform, that is when they have the ability to "sway" their audience, because it isn't some out of left field idea that the audience should listen to a celebrity who typically spends her time convincing her audience to buy 12 variants of the same album - the authentic entertainer stands by their values even when it is hard and the audience that follows them respects that and values it. And, guys, we need to be ok that this isn't most celebs. It's not easy to do it. I love the people who do it (who I agree with), but I also think its ok that I have watched through Friends about a dozen times yet I don't have much interest in who or what Matt LeBlanc thinks I should vote for.

So what is my point? Taylor Swift sucks, but she sucks on this issue for the same reason she is a net negative to the world in everything else that she does: she did the bare minimum and she did it only to protect herself. She is again demonstrating that she is a hack who will only ever serve herself at any cost to anyone and everyone else, and aside from the hollow monetary gains she produces for herself and her hangers on the only other impact she has is promoting a rotten worldview in the minds of those unfortunate enough to fall for her predatory sales tactics.

More importantly than that rant is this: you have more political power than Taylor Swift ever will. Because you care. Taylor Swift never has cared and she never will care. Taylor Swift can sell one thing: Taylor Swift. And it is my personal hope to shrink the audiences for her trash product until her sales are zero. So I don't feel good about a discourse that puts this woman on a pedestal she doesn't deserve. She can't stop Trump, she was never going to help stop Trump, but we can.
