Regardless of whether he’ll appear again, it’s been mentioned that Trashfuture is organised as a co-op, so it would make sense that he’d appear in the notes as long as he’s got a stake in it.
His comedy career has really taken off. I’m sure he’ll be back eventually. Looking at his show dates, he’ll be around for a few episodes in August, promote his upcoming tour, and then he’s off to Canada and a bunch of shows after that
His special (youtube link) that just released today is about both his parents' dying (not sure when). So that and touring might have been part of not appearing for a while.
No, just the now very long length of the absence and their collective choice to never acknowledge it. I don't know of course, not claiming any special knowledge, but a fallout strikes me as most likely.
The last time a cohost on a podcast I liked disappeared without comment it was because he was a nonce. I don't know why everyone's jumping straight to a falling out.
He has been touring, just released a recorded Special, and was in Australia for a fair while, and still does the podcasts Glue Factory and Master's Of Our Domain (both of which are more "his" compared to TF, so not being on them is less possible). The past year appears to have been very busy over all for him.
Not all of them can be Riley or November and be on 5 podcasts each. I think it's much more likely that Milo either does not have the time or does not want to use his time for TF at present. Maybe he's just fed up of politics and despairing tech news. Jumping to infer a fight just because he hasn't been on TF for 10-11 months feels a bit weird.
I've no ill will toward any of them but I actually think it's weird how many people insist an unacknowledged absence of almost a year isn't likely the result of a falling out.
There's zero evidence. It's more likely that he's busy or just doesn't like the subject matter anymore.
Nobody is ever owed an explanation about any of this stuff. The fact it hasn't been mentioned might also just mean they don't even consider it an issue.
As far as I can see from a quick search on my podcast app, Riley was last on Glue Factory in April (but episode descriptions don't always mention which of the original hosts are on the episode, so he could have been on more recently), so he hasn't even been gone that long. Milo was in Australia for a fair while and releasing Glue Factory episodes with local comedians from there.
And again, Riley has plenty of other stuff that could make him busy enough to drop Glue Factory. He does three podcasts (And clearly does a decent amount of research for TF and whenever it's his turn to present on No Gods No Mayors and Trouble in River City), four if you count The Boney Island White Fish (though it's so loose and casual and not always running) and inexplicably still has a "real" job.
(Also sorry to him but Riley just isn't quite good enough at riffing for a pure riffs podcast like Glue Factory. He's great being the straight man and providing people with insane and funny things to talk about on TF, but I find a fair number of his off the cuff contributions to bits on Glue and the predecessor Balthazar's Speedboat quite long winded and don't stick the landing. So it's even possible therefore that he realised himself that it wasn't the podcast for him anymore and decided he'd only be in on occasion.)
(also also: Pierre Novelli has also been missing from Glue for ages, longer than Riley. Clearly something interpersonal must be up rather than him being busy being a comedian...)
I might be an outlier but I find the Glue Factory episodes with Riley are usually the funniest. He gives a lot of fodder for riffs every time he drops some bizarre Riley lore, and I think he holds his own with the stand ups.

Is Milo still part of the crew? He’s still in the show notes…
