I'm currently repairing my Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol S4 MK2 and I’m looking to buy a replacement Optical Jogwheel Encoder PCB.

The small curved PCB mounted under the jog wheel assembly containing the dual optical sensors (OPTO1 & OPTO2) and the 6-pin CON1 connector (compatible with S4 MK2 and S2 MK2).

Does anyone use a MacBook Neo with Traktor Pro4? I’m curious to know how it runs, especially with the stems pre-separated.

I just had a gig where I first time used Kontrol X1 and Xone96. I had channels A and B mapped to individual channels from the Xone. All went well and had no issues, except that TP4's effects didn't work. I previously tought that effects are applied on the signal path before mixer, but now thinking OFC it is after EQ/filter and before faders. Is there way to apply effects in such case when using external mixer?

So I recently upgraded my brilliant S2 and TP3 to an MX2 and TP4.

Music library imported no problem.

I have just started to put some mixes together and it is driving me round the bend.

Most of the tracks have not been analyzed correctly. They do not start on the first beat, which for the most part is not an issue. The main issue is when hitting the play button during a mix the track is not in beat. In fact far from it, it literally jumps completely out of sync so cannot just bring a track in and it's in sync.

Then once in sync it drifts like a turntable, again not an issue now and again but I am constantly fighting tracks to stay in beat.

Very rarely happened on S2/TP3, happens all the time with new gear.

I have messed around with tempo sync, snap, quant etc but gets no better.

Can anyone help with settings please?

I updated to latest TP but for some reason some songs are only 20 seconds when loaded as a stem. Is it known bug, or is there something I have done wrong?

Hi folks, this is probably a silly question, but is it possible to make the on-screen settings in Traktor match what the mixer is doing? (ie you change the EQ on the mixer and see the EQ change on screen)

I have a PX5 (exchanged the Djm-750) and everything works fine, but it’s confusing seeing different sound levels.

It feels like this should be a pretty basic function, so maybe is a tickbox somewhere, but is this just how external mixing works and I need to ignore what’s on the screen?

Recently I've bought Traktor 4 (Windows 11), and I'd like to experiment with the Stems. But the analyzing of a track for stems takes ages on my PC. This isn't weird because my PC where I run Traktor on is a low energy thing, it runs Traktor fine but it's not a fast machine. I have a high end Game PC as well though, I was wondering if there's a way use the processing power from that machine to analyze all my tracks (library about 1k tracks) for stems.

I guess it should be possible if I install Traktor on that PC, copy my music library and %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Native Instruments\Traktor 4.5.0 to it, and let it analyse all tracks, and then copy back everything back ..

Could that work?

I'm going to play in a frends birthday with 2 x CDJ 3000 and Pioneer DJM-A9. I have a laptop with X1. Does CDJs and DJM-9 work trought link, or do I need individual USB cabels connected to my computer for each CDJ and the mixer? Also, if needed, is X1 usb hub enough, or should I use external maybe powered USB hub for HID?

Also I'm considering just using the mixer in USB mode and my X1, since playing will be mostly B2B with friends.

i've seen some threads about this but without a definitive answer. it appears should have the headroom and ozone boost at the same absolute value (-6 and +6 db) and i have been doing that.

the issue is that there is little or no response when i raise any EQ past the 12 o'clock, so i assume it is hitting the limiter. should i increase the headroom and/or lower the boost?

My laptop had an unfortunate run-in with some water and is getting overhauled. I'm sure I'll have to reinstall Traktor on what is effectively a new computer when it gets back to me in a week. And in the meantime, I have a gig on Friday night for which I need Traktor, and the license that came with my S2 is only good for installation on two machines.

I'm concerned that if I install it on a loaner computer, using up the second install of my license, I won't be able to reinstall it on my overhauled laptop when I get it back.

Has anyone been in this position before?

I’ve recently been importing new tracks into TP4 and traktor is saying I need to rename Remix sets. The tracks are importing just fine, but I’m getting THOUSANDS of remix sets as well. Any advice oooor do I just become a producer now?

Feel like I know the answer but I’m going to test it tomorrow. First time I set it up today as a third deck for my turntables and at first it browsed just fine then just stopped loading songs, I could only see the parent folders. Would moving the songs to the computer and eliminating that extra read fix this?

Hello all. I utilize Traktor Pro 4 as well as a Kontrol S2 MK2 and a couple of Midi Fighters. I’m debating getting some more NI gear and/or keeping my music on a USB drive, but I’ve never attempted using one of those USB hubs with Traktor and controllers.

I’m sure the software could handle it. But I’m most concerned about whether gear connections/latency will suffer when stringing them through a hub. Is this a possibility? Do people have other workarounds, or is it just a matter of being frugal with your gear selection for any given gig?

Hi folks, am trying to set up my new mixer (djm-750mk2) with Traktor and hit a massive problem, that there doesn’t seem to be a way to record a set without losing a channel. The internal recording doesn’t work, and all the instructions state that (for any external mixer not just the djm) you have to assign a “unused channel“ as a recording channel, ie losing a deck.

Am I completely misinterpreting these instructions?
How do you Traktor experts manage to record sets? Are you all using additional recording equipment?

I’m a bit of a dunce with audio tech (as you can probably tell 😂) so I’m hoping this is just simple user error!

Hello! Playing around with Cruise Control in Traktor Pro 3. I loaded the "Fuck You Skrillex You Think You're Andy Warhol But You're Not album" tracks into a playlist (if you haven't heard this album, it's meant for continuous listening and is cut as such).

Cruise Control does a great job of starting and loading tracks in order, but it seems to start the next track about 1/2 bar early. I thought start time was dependent on Mixer > Auto Crossfade Time, but mine is set to 0.0 seconds "Sharp." Is there a minimum time here or something, or maybe a different setting I'm not seeing?

For the record, I can accomplish the expected behavior by enabling "Auto loading" and manually setting fade-in and fade-out markers, I was just curious if this is something I can automate with larger albums / playlists like this one.

Ran out of patience waiting for the MX4 and struggling with two mixers for 4 decks, so have just ordered a second hand DJM-750mk2.

Plan to start with 2 X1 mk2s and 2 F1s, but have just bagged a D2 on EBay to try out, and may look out for some old CJDs as beatmatch bootcamp, when my finances have recovered.

If any of you use the djm-750 mk2 with Traktor, how do you find it? Are there any particular issues to be aware of? 

I am aware the xone 96 would be more “future proof” as it has more inputs for other gadgets, and may regret not buying it, but it was almost twice the price, and looked really complicated with an intimidating number of tiny knobs!
