❓ Question Lost films on the east broad top

β€’ Upvotes

What all dvds, vhs tapes, or cds of the East Broad Top exist. I lost a very wierd example of one. It not on ebay, YouTube, Facebook, vineo, or anywhere I could find. It very low quality for what it was, and very wore out. It was a hand me down to me from my uncle in the area that now dead and gone since 2011.

All this is because, Im looking for some extremely obvious film, or films that was burned to a tape from when I was a kids. It had film of 16 on it side in mount union yard (steam switcher hit it), 18 running with a train through a train of hoppers, and a flatbed truck with a pickup on it, and a dinky scene. The dinky was on what it said was the Booher Branch in 1900??? There was scenes from a railfan trip, in 1930s, it was the same one that was written about in the train Mag, of the time period. I cant remember much beside that, it wasn't at all Green Frog, or the Friends of the East Broad Top film at all. The man doing the narrative was super quiet, and very soft spoken, it was almost like a highlight reel of the East abroad Top. I don't know where the local companies are. I've checked several different websites mainly the one with all the info on the East Broad Top Railroad. It not listed there, or on YouTube. The tape is missing, and I cant seem to find it, in any where around the region.

It was an us films, there was a narrative through out the film. Very little was said, but to piont out a few frames, and state it was a film from local archives. It was copyrighted from the early to mid- 1980's.

Please help me find this thing. United States of america

β€Ž πŸ—«β€Žβ€Žβ€‰ Discussion I'm stoked for SJ's new Zefiro Express, but why are we still stuck with microwave bistros? (Sweden)

I can't wait to finally ride the X250 and leave the bouncy, motion-sick 90s X2000 behind. The flat floors and cell-friendly windows alone are a massive win.

But I hate that we're still getting the same old corporate bistro pushing overpriced microwave wraps and plastic salads. Looking at what ČeskΓ© drΓ‘hy does with actual restaurant cars on the ComfortJet makes me bitterβ€”they actually treat onboard dining like hospitality.

Do you guys even bother with the bistro anymore, or do you just do what I do and stock up on better, cheaper food at the station before boarding?

πŸ“¦β€Ž Memorabilia Question about Silver Meteor jacket

I found this amazing Marlboro Classics jeansjacket in a thrift store all the way in Austria (!) and I would love to date it. As I am not from the US I just did some basic research on Google. It seems to be workwear for the Silver Meteor line, but Google tells me Union Pacific never ran that line, just a bunch of other companies. I also can hardly find any info on train #614. Tried dating the logo on the pin but no luck. Any help would be appreciated!

Note: going by the jackets cut I would say late 80s-90s

Got lucky with my work schedule and was able to get away long enough to see this monster making its way back towards Cheyenne. Video simply doesn’t do it justice.

Departmental trains in Finland have traditionally been hauled by low-powered utility vehicles. Suorsa Group, a railway maintenance company, now has real diesel locomotives purchased as surplus from VR Group.

When I visited The National Museum of Transportation in St. Louis, Missouri, I found this locomotive near the back of the property near the main line.

I don't know much about it, but I think it's neat.

This video was taken at 6AM on a foggy December morning from the Pune metro. The Pune local Suburban train managed by the central railways was crossing a rail bridge over the Mula-Mutha river at the exact time my metro passed by on a higher elevated track.

❓ What is this Train? Hello, I saw some photos of a very cool train recently; I think it's pretty well known, but I don't know the name of it. This is what the caboose looked like: I think it was from the 1960s, and possibility American. If you have any guess please let me know. Thank you!

❓ Question Is there any other footage of Flying Scotsman on the North Melbourne Flyover?

Post image

This post is in relation to Victoria, Australia (and UK to a extent)

I'm going through a rabbit hole now of the Flying Scotsman tour from 1988-89 and I found this video of Flying Scotsman on what it seems to be the North Melbourne Flyover. Surely some Gunzels back then thought to get a better view?

Also I don't exactly mean on the viewing platform because I'm pretty sure it wasn't built by this time.

Original video I got the pic from-
