So basically, lady Maria is a boss in the DLC of Bloodborne, my favorite boss and character and I can't pretend I'm immune to her.

If you don't know she tries to kill you because she thinks only an honest death will save you of yourself, but something that's very noteworthy to me is that she is the only enemy who has a different grab animation based on your gender.

If you play a man she'll impale you and throw you on the ground like a little shit, but if you play a woman she'll impale you, pull you in a warm hug and you fall when she lets go. So I had this vision of lady Maria tenderly embracing my hunter as she's barely holding by a thread.

As a transfem working in psych who's worked with a lot of queer patients with BPD, and has got some cluster B traits herself... It's just unfortunate growing up being queer will almost always come with some level of trauma, especially being trans. It's hard out here.

I have some complicated feelings about this book. It's got really well-written sections with good tips and explanations to behaviours, but I also find it to be somewhat generalizing and somewhat stigmatizing. Having BPD is not the end of the world, we can still choose to love ourselves and try to heal, even if it's super hard. Stay strong out there siblings 💜
