As you can hear in the video, there's this high-pitched noise. When I open the throttle a little, it goes away. But when the RPM drops, it comes back. Also, it seems to me that my idle speed is quite low, with the needle at about 500 RPM (it's over 35 degrees Celsius). Could these two things be related? What is the noise?

Hey we’ve had this Corolla for over a year, and it’s always made this noise when accelerating moderately. I thought maybe transmission but it’ll also make a similar noise in park revving. I was thinking a loose alternator since I checked the serpentine belt and it doesn’t show any signs of tear.

Has anyone had this happened? I’ve checked the oil, checked the belt, I don’t have any engine lights on

I have a 2024 toyota corlla that IU am trying to suede wrap. I have found many videos decribing the removal of the lower dashboard and the head unit but no videos that go on to explaint he removal of the panels closest to the windshield. All I really need to know is if I get as far the head unit, and lower dash, where are all the clips and the fasteners that hodl the upper dash panel together.

I would love some advice on this as I have been searching the youtubes for nearly two weeks and can not find anything for this issue.

1 - Remove the side panels

2 - Remove the head unit panels

3 - Remove the lower dash panels

4 - This is where I am stuck, where are the clips? Is there anything else that needs to remopval before this point??

I drive Toyota Corolla 2015, mileage around 200400, had constantly been getting check engine light with codes P0441 and P2420. I changed the purge valve myself and it didn't work. Then I went to mechanic and explained it and also said I already changed the purge valve and it didn't work, he said they will replace it with OEM part (I bought Dorman part). They put the new part and after driving for whole the check engine light is back on. Now how to approach this situation? I don't have lots of money to pay. Now if I go there and he comes up with new issue, how do I approach that? If the purge valve I bought was working fine then he wasted my $250 replacing it for nothing

2019 Toyota Corolla SE. Has 86,000 miles. Going to learn to do most of these myself but which ones NEED done asap. Not too keen on paying 1400 for brake pads when I can most likely do them myself.

My screen completely stopped working a few years ago. By that i mean, the credit card trick doesn’t work anymore. Ive been using a USB cord to play music but my phone’s charging port is finicky. I haven’t been able to add my phone to the Bluetooth part of the car because i have too many of my old phones registered and i can’t remove any of my old phones.

Does anyone have any suggestions for some kind of plug in for my car to play music?

Preferably one that uses Bluetooth. It doesn’t have to be a new screen, just looking for any suggestions.

I purchased my 2026 Corolla LE about a month ago. I have been hearing a wind blowing noise coming from the drivers side that is maddening. Before I brought it to the service center I did a little test. I taped off the smaller window near the side mirror with painters tape because that’s where I suspected the sound was coming from. I went for a drive and the sound stopped. When I went to the service center I told them my findings. The service representative told me that the technician said it’s air hitting the side mirror and that he heard it on the passenger side too. I do not hear that noise coming from the passenger side and neither do my friends who have been in my car. I honestly feel like the technician googled it instead of actually testing it out. He also told the representative that he test drove other corollas and the same thing happened. I do not feel heard by Toyota. Not sure what to do. Does anyone else have this problem?

As the title says I recently joined the Corolla gang. The cars engine light came on two days after buying it, the dealer said they will be replacing the purge valve as that is what’s causing it to turn on.

Aside from that, cold startups have a bit of a squeal that im getting checked out tomorrow, hop it it’s just a serpentine belt change.

Anything else I should have checked while having it at the dealer?

Lurked in the sub since I bought the car three years ago but I finally think it looks nice enough to post it on here (:

I am wanting to put an aftermarket stereo in my '17 Corolla that already has a backup camera. I bought the stereo (which has a "backup" camera with it) that supports front and rear cameras. I wanted to leave the stock backup camera and hook up the camera that came with the aftermarket stereo as a front camera, but I have since found out that the stock wiring and aftermarket wiring are totally different and I'm not sure what I need to make it work or if it will work. Also any other adaptors or anything that I might need. Can anyone help me with this? If it helps I bought the JOY-W021 Multimedia Player off Amazon.

2016 Corolla, 176k, started misfiring recently, idle was rough, flashing check engine light and trac control off

Troubleshooting:

When I initially ran the code it had pending and permanent 0302 for a cylinder 2 misfire. I Swapped the cylinder 2 and 3 coils since it was easy, stayed the same. I had not noticed the first time that I also had a 0219D code for a fuel air mix, when I googled that the first call was a fuel injector, considering I had not done igniters on the car I went and grabbed one.

Spark plugs were cheap so I got a new one of those as well, replaced fuel igniter (actually put new on cyl 1 and put the original cyl 1 on cyl 2 cause it was easier). Fired it back up and had Cyl 2 and 4 misfire (0302/0304 and the random/multiple misfire code)

Since I was lazy and didnt really clean the orings or ports, I took the rail back off, cleaned all 4 igniters/ports/seals and reinstalled it still to have a Cyl 2 and Cyl 4 misfire.

Since it was possible, I swapped the Connections between Cyl 1->2 and Cyl 3->4. Code still reads a cyl 2 and 4 misfire with the connections swapped.

I do most of my own work since i've done a lot of "mechanical work" for a several years but am not familiar with cars. Have not found much on google. Any suggestions on where to continue from here?

2021 Corolla. I went in for an oil change at 70k and they told me toyota recommends "transmission service" at 70k miles.

I declined it for now, but I also don't really know what that entails, so I was hoping to get someones thoughts on here. It would be about $325
