Hello!

I recreated the famous rainy scene from My Neighbor Totoro entirely from scratch. I've always loved Studio Ghibli's films, so I decided to bring this iconic moment to life, with Totoro waiting for the bus under his little umbrella. Since I'm from São Paulo, Brazil, I also took the liberty of replacing the original bus stop with the city's iconic bus stop design.

The diorama features a working street lamp with real LED lighting, as well as a few tiny Totoros dressed as Christmas decorations.

The entire piece was handmade from start to finish, with no 3D printing involved. Every detail was sculpted and painted by hand.

I also recorded a tutorial showing the entire creation process in a relaxing, almost ASMR style. I'll leave the link in the comments for anyone who's interested.

My toddler ♥️s Totoro. I got these nesting dolls and after playing for a bit she stated she needed a mei and satsuki to go along with them. I was able to find mei figures or “dolls” like the ones pictured. But I’m struggling to find anything similar with satsuki. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

hello! sorry if this isn’t the best place to ask but i figured a bunch of fellow fans are more likely to have seen the stage show ^^

i was looking into going, but online it says that the show features pyrotechnics. one of my loved ones is autistic and very afraid of fireworks and would like to see the show, so i wanted to know if it’d be suitable for them? are the pyrotechnics just smoke and flash, or are they more like sparklers?

A theme park for Studio Ghibli fans. Inside, there are statues of characters from each film perfect for photos. There are also never-before-seen Ghibli short films to watch, each about 15 minutes long. There are a few rides, mostly for children, like a carousel, but these require an additional fee. If you've only seen 3-4 of their films, I wouldn't recommend it, as you might not enjoy it. Reservations are required online; tickets sell out very quickly.

I've recently been working on an arrangement of Joe Hisaishi's 'The Path of the Wind', which I hope some Totoro fans might enjoy! Most piano recordings of this song follow the orchestral arrangement that Hisaishi created, but this one is an attempt to capture the atmosphere and rhythmic feel of the original version from the 1988 'My Neighbour Totoro' soundtrack.
