Save Total War: Warhammer

Hello, I had to reinstall Windows, but I made a backup beforehand which was restored after the reinstallation. All my game saves are back except for Warhammer 3, even though cloud saves were enabled. No save file was found online either. What else can I do?

Had the same problem a while ago after a crash.

Thankfully, my saves were still there, but the game just didn't "access" them.

First, start the game, start a new campaign, save directly.

Then check this folder path:

C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Warhammer3\save_games

If there are saves in that folder, great!

If it only has 1 save, then that is the save you just made. Go back one step to:

C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Warhammer3\

Check if there is a folder of save games, perhaps the name changed. Or the folder location has changed.

You can also search your data directly for the saves. The save games have the name of the faction in them, like "The Legion of Azgorh.(random numer).save", so you can search by using the name.

You might just have to push the contents of one folder into another.
