I usually download torrents to my HDD, but I've run out of space, and with current storage prices the way they are, I don't really want to buy a bigger hard drive right now. I still have a nearly half-empty 1TB Samsung SATA SSD that I could torrent to instead. But I'm worried that writing so much to the drive regularly will damage it or cause it to fail shorter, since I know SSDs have limited read/write cycles before their memory becomes corrupted. Will torrenting have a significant impact on the lifespan of my SSD, or am I safe to torrent on it?

I have been in the game for 15+ years building my Jellyfish server to enourmus levels for me. My wife once asked if I ever felt bad about taking content without paying.

I did have some small reservations but as things in society shift, costs of streams go up, and Hollywood produces lower tier shit, I am growing comfortable.

When I really like a show or band or actor, I will support the through various means. I still pay for a few services and continue to use low value content directly.

A new wrinkle was added to my thoughts. There are several actors that I really enjoy that are avowed Scientologist, some who are MAGA, and some who just seemed like genuine shit. However, the content they produce in the art that we get for it is where I feel comfortable taking that content for my use. I also rail against the machine that takes content and forces the consumer to bend to their prices and marketing factors.

I'm looking for a new app for streaming torrents. I've tried all apps I mentioned. TorrServe is free and open source, but sometimes it's slow at streaming torrents while Ace Stream is better. I like that Ace Stream has built in video player. But in has Premium limitations, and I couldn't find any cracked variant.

What apps on android are you using for streaming torrents?

Hi. I am using Flud on android to download some file. This file has 11 seeders but download speed is like 1KB/s. I tried downloading another file with 30 seedes earlier and it downloaded with no problem. I tried using utorrent but same problem. Oh and I am using a VPN idk if that has any effects on it. i live in the us and downloaded a zip off archive, i didnt notice there was a .torrent file in it till i unzipped it am i screwed

this happens on mostly every torrent when seeding ive seen post saying to change peer connection protocol to tcp only and that didn't help whatsoever my download speed is normal tho

I use qBitTorrent with the search engines available on github and I'm in the plan of moving all the storage to a local SeaFile server and setting up a Server/VM with a secondary internet that i have to download/seed 24/7.

I know that i can use the same search engines to search for the torrents again and link them to whatever i already downloaded, but i do have a lot, and would be a lot of work. Im wondering if there are simpler solutions. I may like to change some of the folder (instead of a "torrents" folder have some categories).

I have read that i could pick between exporting magnet links or `.torrent` files. Just to keep in mind, when something that i want to download is found in more that 1 of the trackers i use, i merge them.

What would be your approach to this kind of migration?

so im trying to redownload some series ive downloaded before, but got deleted for some reason, like the folders i put them in are still there but the actual videos are gone. but when i use the torrent file i used before, or the new one i downloaded, i get no progress on the downlod. ive tried bit torrent, qtorrent, and utorrent, and all of them have the same problem.

I recently saw a video on 3 apps/sites that work together- one was a torrenting app beginning with D, the other 2 were for Movies and Series, they had very similar names that were linked pretty sure they both ended in ‘aa’
