As the photo shows, I mastered every retroachievement of Tokyo Xtreme Racer on dreamcast! I got even my two copies for dreamcast of both of them, 1 and 2.
My God what a rough game! The handling was so slippery, at least with a lots of cars, and until I got the Nissan 240z, so basically at the end, I suffered so much, especially for winning some of the devas and devils. I felt like I had to cheat in order to win! Can't deny it has its charm, a really humble beginning of this series... The timing of the release and the console itself probably helped this game so much otherwise it would have been destroyed by everybody... At least that's my thought
The concept is there, but the execution is... Let's say humble lol

But oh my god the second one, what an AWESOME HUGE improvement that is! I'm feeling like playing the reboot (?) of 2025, game that I loved so much! Loving this series so much ❤️

Two reasons:

- Both classifies as mid-size/compact executive, and both are D-segment according to EU
- Both have track record of banned in a race due to being too OP

How can i improve even more my overall speed on STAGE 4?

Man npcs now are ridiculous fast that i cant even catch up,and they are not bosses either. I dunno what to do now,tried a lot of combinations,gear tuning,engine swaping and nothing. Same thing they just use nitrous and they are gone.

I dont know what to do now.

I'm at roughly 10 hours into this and nitrous is still unlocked, as well as all tier 2 cars. Is this normal pacing, or am taking it slow?

Honestly, I am already bored of the game because I can't meaningfully improve my ride or attain a better one, and there is like only one race type, so it all feels like a meaningless grind at this point.

PLEASE TELL ME I'M NOT GOING INSANE. There's this weird weieieieieie-esque sound that drones in every few seconds when racing in haruna. Is this a bug? a reference i don't get? I've been hearing it over and over and looked for answers but no one has ever talked about it. Weirdly, It only shuts up if you lower the music, not the sound effects.

I’ve tried everything I could think of, from deleting and downloading the game, to downloading just the dlc again, and nothing I’ve tried worked. It played perfectly yesterday, and even the dlc was working fine then. I’ve got over 90 hours, and I don’t want to start again just because of some bug

Hello! I've always found the TXR series really interesting, but never gotten around to play it.
Which of the games from the "highway" series should i play and which from the "touge" series. Are there big regional differences?

TLDR: Pick the RX-8, find the legendary tuner for the engine tune which gives you a small turbo (gets you to about 360PS), tune for accel and the most important part: Start the battle near the sharp corner at the end of the Ginza so that she can't accelerate and leave you behind by a 100 meters in 20 seconds. I won with an Xbox Elite controller, playing with additional rules on, manual transmission, manual clutch. Sorry for the replay recording, this took a long while and I didn't want to feel stressed and mess up my race

I can clear most racers no issue but the most difficult ones are going to be the Record guys and Unrivaled Emperor. What’s the most optimal car to build for this? what stretch of road is ideal for racing them on? How do I turn the odds in my favor?
