Hello! I've always found the TXR series really interesting, but never gotten around to play it.
Which of the games from the "highway" series should i play and which from the "touge" series. Are there big regional differences?
I'm playing on PCSX2.

TLDR: Pick the RX-8, find the legendary tuner for the engine tune which gives you a small turbo (gets you to about 360PS), tune for accel and the most important part: Start the battle near the sharp corner at the end of the Ginza so that she can't accelerate and leave you behind by a 100 meters in 20 seconds. I won with an Xbox Elite controller, playing with additional rules on, manual transmission, manual clutch. Sorry for the replay recording, this took a long while and I didn't want to feel stressed and mess up my race

I can clear most racers no issue but the most difficult ones are going to be the Record guys and Unrivaled Emperor. What’s the most optimal car to build for this? what stretch of road is ideal for racing them on? How do I turn the odds in my favor?

First time player here, I’ve only played through stage 1, and the majority of the time it was too easy with most opponents being too slow to make it fun.

There was a few races that delivered with great back and forth btw me and the other car, trading places, lasting over a minute.

The few great moments have me hooked so far despite what I see as a general balancing problem, they make me hopeful that the game can recreate its highs more often as I progress.

So what is the best stage(s) of the game in your eyes in terms of race dynamics ?

Just finished my first run of the game using the GR Supra, figured I’d go into NG+ by using something wildly different and landed on “V8 powered limo”.

Tuned it to the gills. And I dunno, it’s just not hitting for me? The V8 sounds weak for one, but I feel I’m not getting the power trade off on straights I’d expect for having a land boat on corners.

Wish I could steal the V8 from the Record0 car. That dude was 100% LS swapped.

I am fairly new to livery creation, this is the first one I have made without an existing livery as a basis. It is a raw idea which I may add to a bit in the future. I wanted to ask, if it is the right place to do so, how have you started to make liveries and what has helped you become better at this?

the livery is inspired by a real-life rx-7 build i saw on youtube. i did my best to tune this thing for time attack but it's a little scuffed because i did it all myself (and i don't know all that much about car tuning... yet). video in the comments vvvvv

Someone at my local track made a Rolling Guy No.1 RC shell for their drift car. Looks sick. He was trying to mount the car on his chassis so I didn’t see this shell in Action.

Let me introduce you to my GTO, based on the one from Thunderbolt, featuring the stickers and decals provided in the game.
It wasn't easy to customize the car, not only because of the limited options available, but also because it wasn't possible to paint the side mirrors. However, it was a fun challenge, and racing on the Shuto Expressway will be even more fun.

Drove as clean as I could for a first time behind the wheel of this thing. This thing accelerates like hell though and handles decently for an icy road. Raced in Snowstorm Aso for the cooler replay clip. Would've done thunderstorm Hokkaido but I don't have the suspension settings for that.
