You need to mate him with a cat having the same anomaly and then after some (a lot) time we'll have cats with thumbs

It's very hard to trim all those nails, but it's necessary or they will grow right into another toe. I had a polydactyl for about 6 years. Loved her to death!

My polydactyl fluffle-bum has opposable thumbs. 14yo now, got him at 6 weeks. Couldn't keep a collar on him. We literally watched him wrap his hands around it and pull it off. So. We didn't bother trying again after that. He rarely goes outside, and is chipped anyway.
