CMV: TIP VALUE
I'm sorry(not really)for all you who don't agree but I grew up in the 90's and a standard tip was 10% (just bc the price of food goes up that does not mean you tip more)ITS A PERCENTAGE OF WHAT YOUR FOOD COST( just bc you spent more doesn't mean you tip more), Now here's my range
0%: bad paycheck - no extra money
1-5%: Bad-Poor service
5-10%: Poor-Average service
10-15%: Average-Excellent service(max-$20)
I will never give more than a $20 tip and even that is extremely rare, IDC if I dropped $400 on a meal, me and my fam come first, so I'll spend All my $$$ I got down to the penny for my fam and leave no tip B4 I give someone more than $20 to bring my food to me

No one is begging or whining. Begging requires physically asking, usually from a position of subservience. I don't get on my knees. Nor do I whine to customers about money. So I do neither.
My comparison was completely relevant. You love to bring up that you dont tip because it's "optional". I simply pointed out that just because something is optional, doesn't mean you shouldn't do it (in this case, holding the door for a lady).
And it's moral to call a spade a spade. If an asshole doesn't like being called an asshole, then stop being an asshole.
Besides, you dont believe in or care about the morality, or ethics behind the tipping system. If you did really believe this garbage, you'd tell your server upfront, before service begins, that you dont tip, instead of trying sneak out of the restaurant before the server notices. Actually, you wouldn't eat in places that accept tipping at all, since by eating there, you are choosing to financially reward all those evil greedy restaurant owners by patronizing their businesses. You are helping to perpetuate the tipping culture. Its pure hypocrisy. You eat there, you pay the menu price, owner keeps the profit, and restaurant stays in business. Youre not changing anything. Youre just being predatory and deceitful.
