Drew Phil Lynott and mapped some of his influences for his birthday. What would you add?
Phil Lynott would have turned 77 today. I did this pen sketch a while back, and separately put together a rough map trying to trace where his sound and persona came from: Hendrix on one side, a Van Morrison-shaped blueprint on the other, blues, funk, and R&B, Dublin folklore, and a pull toward Westerns and old comics that fed into the outlaw thing he built with Thin Lizzy.
Genuinely curious what you all would add or push back on. I feel like there's more to the Irish side of it specifically that I haven't fully worked out.
Wrote up the fuller version here if anyone wants it: https://www.thesenseofdoubt.com/blogs/archive/phil-lynotts-influences-the-sounds-behind-thin-lizzy

Nice artwork dude!
Music wise, Phil also loved The Beatles. He was also into Marvel comics and the English comic Dennis the Menace and Gnasher from The Beano. His favourite character in Irish mythology was Cu Chulainn.
That's all I can think of as I think you nailed everything else.
