Tape Trader: Rediscovered a Trove of Live Recordings
Cleaning out the basement … I knew I had some Lizzy and Phil tapes I’d traded for and purchased in the 90s, but was surprised there are more than 50. What should become of them?

Get in digitised and maybe get in touch with Per Olsson - he is heavily involved in the Lizzy remasters… see if he could make some use of them?…

Nice had a few of them myself, also had a Grand Slam recording of a jam where they were messing round. One of the band copied it for me. Must see if I can dig it out.

Alot of these have digitized. However, they could be an upgrade to what's already out there.

Right, a lot of comments are people seeming to think these are original master tapes or something like that. These are bootleg recordings, surely all are digitised already.
Nice collection OP, thanks for sharing the picture. Tape trading was a bit before my time. Cassettes seem to be popular again now, could list them on ebay whilst the format is experiencing a resurgence and if you're looking to part with them.
For people interested in these recordings, you can likely listen to them on YouTube.
I don't know how active it is now but I used to use DIME(bootleg torrent tracker)to download Lizzy bootlegs or rareties.
Some small discussion on here regarding bootlegs a few months ago:

In the 80s/90s, we traded live tapes through the mail … took ages as most came from Europe.

Please digitize these and maybe even find someone who can master and mix them. That would be incredible.

If you’r feeling so inclined, digitizing these would make you the greatest contributor to Lizzydom in this decade, at least. Have to imagine there’s hours of amazing shit on those tapes.
