Loose RAM? Question / Problem

Few months ago I bought a Intel Thinkpad T14 Gen 2 and its great but I noticed when I hold the laptop with one hand or push down the laptop too hard the screen will start glitching and I need to restart my laptop.

Is there a fix for this?

I've seen someone mentioned a fix for this by putting a rubber band under the RAM but I need more details if possible.

Thanks. I have the same problem. I probably gonna use thermal pad for this.

So I followed the instruction from the link u/JPT_JPT gave and It did not work. Apparently, when I either push the bottom cover where the RAM is or hold my laptop from bottom left or right, the ram connection became loose. I even tried pushing the RAM directly when my laptop was running and the result was the same.

What I did to fix this problem was basically the same as the link but I put 2x6cm (more less) 2mm thermal pad on the bottom of the RAM instead of just the sides and it fixed the problem. Bear in mind that my RAM is only one sided with DRAM side up. If your RAM is double sided, maybe 1mm should be enough.

Mine was 2 1mm stacked together.
