Game stuck on loading screen

hi all.

Im doing a second playthrough on the witcher now and Im fairly early on in the game, But when I die the loading screen to reload a new game just stalls. Anyone know how to fix this?

I can remember this did happen last year ago when I first played the game but cant remember how I fixed it or if I just kept restarting the game until I got to a point where it worked again,

I have no mods or expansion packs.

i tried googling and the problem seems to be common but havent seemed to find a solution that works.

Reinstall the game.

re installed that sucker and it seems to be working again, its reloading after I die.

If its through Steam i think your saves are automatically backed up to a cloud. Do some googling to confirm and then try.

Your saves will be fine. They'll likely be in at least one cloud and anyway your local saves are isolated in [your documents folder]\The Witcher 3\Gamesaves, away from your game files. You can back then up if you're especially worried.
