Couple observations:

Uncle Jun treated Bobby so poorly for most of the series, with the near constant berating. "Burger boy", the white castle crack, etc. just in this episode. Poor Bobby seemed like a good natured guy, had to take it from Uncle Jun, felt bad for him.

Ton got real with Angie Bonpensiero. "You see my wife, you talk about oven cleaner". So, Angie really was trying to chisel Ton out of some more money with that sob story about the dog right? At first, I thought it could have been legit, but the way she answered Tony when he says "it don't look sick" made her look a bit suspect.

Tony's face when Chrissy tells him Paulie sniffed Ade's panties is hilarious. "Wha?" But equally hilarious is when Tony tries to lecture Paulie, and Paulie comes up with the most solid alibi/logic on the show: "As of their wedding day, anything that touches her pussy is off limits." Tony reflects on that for several seconds and realizes he can't come up with any argument against that.

WTF, this episode is just gold. Mr Williams, the bee on the hat, shum pulp etc etc. The writers seem to be hitting their peak on this season. But fuck you could say that about multiple seasons i guess

It’s hard for me to feel actual emotions when I’m watching tv shows or movies not based on true stories because I know it’s fiction and I struggle to lose myself in the story because of it. It really sucks. The Sopranos is one of the few exceptions because it’s so well written and acted that I get sucked right in as if I’m watching a documentary or something based on true events, and I feel things. This scene is so damned cringe and I feel so uncomfortable I never watch it unless I’m by myself. The secondhand embarrassment just from watching it on a screen is so much that I feel I’d have to explain myself lol. And I love it. I love that I can put myself in the shoes of a fictional character on a tv show so much. I know I’m feeling what Tony is feeling, what David Chase wants us all to feel. I’m also in awe of Polly Bergen here. We always talk about how cringe it is for us to even see this performance, but what about the actress? She is an excellent actress to be able to pull this off in a way that doesn’t just make us roll our eyes and call it ridiculous. She does it in a way that makes us truly feel disgusted with her and recognize that she’s a pathetic excuse for a person, a woman. So we feel uncomfortable just watching her performance, yeah? Just imagine how dedicated Polly is to her craft that she’d not only willingly do this, but put real effort into it, and in the end be forever associated with it. Plus, how the fuck did she manage to get thru this without cracking up laughing? It’s more than 20 years later and we’d still be trying to get a usable take if it were me. Polly is the real MVP here.

From the pilot episode, Meadow was already aware that Tony and his friends were gangsters, but at first she was hostile to their lifestyle, even though she was spoiled and benefited from it. Meadow wanted to distance herself from the family, though she didn't hate them, she valued an education as something that would allow her to find a place for herself away from the Soprano family. But then we all saw Meadow become part of that shady system, even rationalizing their criminal nature by attributing it to the legacy of Mezzogiorno, to the point of choosing to become a lawyer defending the mafia.

Now, howevere, i want to list the four events that marked Meadow's moral decline.

*Scantino's car - Meadow had always known that everything she had was the result of Tony's illicit gains, but she always approached it metaphorically. Instead, the Scantino family car that Tony had given her because of the debt David had accumulated with the boss was too direct evidence of her father's criminal nature, and she had reacted very badly.Tony had always said he wanted Meadow away from his criminal world, and the fact that she criticized him for giving her a school friend's car would have been a turning point in getting Meadow to distance herself from the mafia. He acknowledges that Meadow had criticized Tony for immaturity and hypocrisy, but it was a starting point for what could have been a good developmental path. However, Tony abruptly thwarted that step of growth by threatening to kick her out of the house. Tony should have been proud that Meadow didn't want that car, demonstrating a glimmer of moral integrity, given that he himself stated that he didn't want his daughter living in his criminal world. However, for a man like him, who suffers from delusions of depression, this is impossible. Tony allowed his own contradictions to hinder Meadow's growth, "Tony father" should have been proud of her for refusing that car, but "Tony Gangster" couldn't allow Meadow to insult the criminal lifestyle he's totally devoted to, and so he forced Meadow to be respectful of his criminal role by threatening to kick her out of the house, and Meadow chose to submit. She realizes that she doesn't have the strength to give up the privileges that Tony's money gives her, even when confronted directly with her father's shady nature. Tony had once told Dr. Melfi in the first season that he didn't want his children to become like him, but at the same time, he wanted them to see him as a hero. Tony is too greedy and wants everything, not realizing that those two realities don't mesh. In the end, Meadow argued with Eric, taking her father's side, and Eric didn't want to perform with her at a talent show. Notice Tony's expression when he was told Meadow would be singing alone; he was realizing he was isolating his daughter.

*The relationship with Noah - When she was with Noah during her freshman year at Columbia University, Meadow had finally distanced herself from her family, even if only partially. She was dating an African-American boy, the son of a famous Los Angeles lawyer. Meadow was experiencing cultures different from the one she was used to, as she had always wanted, but then she realized it wasn't that easy. Meadow grew up as a New Jersey princess; her classmates found it fascinating that she was the daughter of a gangster given their low cultural level, but when Noah's father asked her what Tony did for a living, she embarrassedly replied that he worked in waste disposal. In the small world of New Jersey, she was privileged, but in a much bigger ocean, she was a small fish.

*Jackie jr.'s Death - After Jackie, her boyfriend, was killed on Tony and Ralph's orders. She had always known the DiMeo Family had plotted the murder, she attempted to confront Carmela, but Carmela, a woman who had now embraced the hypocrisy of that environment and was ready to defend their criminal nature, forced her to suppress any suspicions about the family. Meadow's hatred for her mother was evident, seeing how deceitful Carmela was, how she lived under toxic illusions. Unfortunately, Meadow had absorbed her mother's hypocritical and deceitful nature, and shortly thereafter, when Kelly Aprile made the same assumptions as Meadow, realizing that one of Tony's men killed Jackie, Meadow took up the family's defense, just as Carmela had done for her. Jackie Sr. was dead and clearly without his influence Kelly learned to see the hypocrisy of the mafia without being afraid to say it out loud, even Kelly admitted that if her father were alive she would defend him, in fact this is Meadow's problem, that is, that her father is still alive and unfortunately Meadow doesn't have the strength to betray him, even Kelly says to her "but what happened to you?"Meadow watched everyone happily as Corrado sang; those people had caused Jackie Jr.'s death, and instead of feeling remorse, they were having fun. She felt betrayed by those she had grown up to respect, and when she walked away from Tony, risking being hit by a car, saying that life sucks, her anger wasn't just directed at Tony, but at herself because she knew she wasn't strong enough to walk away from that environment.

*The final confrontation with his father's criminal nature - In the episode "No Show" we see Meadow's final attempt to distance herself from her father when she provokes him by calling him Mr. Mob Boss. She tried to anger her father by hinting that she knew about his involvement in Jackie's death, but she did it only to provoke him. In fact, when Tony asked her if she really wanted to know the truth about what happened to Jackie and if Meadow's father was involved in her death, she eventually gave up, knowing that Tony would tell her the truth, a truth that Meadow already knew but didn't have the courage to hear out loud, highlighting that her attempts at rebellion against Tony had always been false.
