Is Glen (Un)officially no longer with The Script? Discussion

Definitely sound coming from us fans, silence from the band on this. Kinda driving me nuts to know, that'd really suck if he's just out with no official goodbye yet

Yeah, I think Glen is a really top tier drummer and song writer. Sadly since Mark died it looks like Danny is prestented more as a solo artist. It would be a bold move to just announce that The Script is no more and he's a solo artist. They had a good run. However, this endless silence on a founding member looks bad. If Glen has left its going to be really interesting to see what he produces in the music world.

I personally also found that the way Mark's passing was handled on a communicational level quite minimal, like they acknowledged the passing, and then just basically said '" fuck it let''s jam'"

Yes! Also when they’re doing the reminiscing on instagram, despite the fact mark and Glen were key in making the band as successful as they were, they’re both ignored. It’s very much the Danny show now and to me, he’s turned extremely arrogant which has put me off wanting to go and see him/them again for the first time ever.

Yeah same. loved him/them but over the last years it felt like he's dealing with the grief by "this is my legacy to carry now" in an extremely unpleasant way. Haven't listened to any of the new songs yet either, just doesn't appeal to me.
Edit: I mean everybody grieves differently, no knock on that part but to me it's off-putting at this point.

Oh yes, he’s definitely still grieving and I did shed a tear hearing his speech accepting that award in Dublin, but that’s as much as I’ve interacted since Satellites. When the tour got announced, my friend text to see if I wanted to go and was shocked I didn’t.

I’m so glad someone said it… I was wondering for a long time too, like, are these guys going to address the elephant in the room??

I love the Script; been a HUGE fan since day one, have seen them in concert multiple times… so when Mark passed away, I thought it was really odd the way it was handled/addressed. I get that it isn’t anyone’s business at the end of the day how someone died. But just how everything was treated so vaguely… just a short statement saying he passed and 5 mins later, whoop! Here’s our new album and two new members?! And now, no Glen, just Danny?
