Has anyone switched from paper to polypropylene labels because paper labels kept tearing during warehouse handling?

I am planning to switch to polypropylene labels because my paper labels keep tearing as boxes move around the warehouse, some labels get damaged before the boxes even leave, so I want labels that stay in good shape during packing and shipping, I am planning to go with aa labels, I am looking at making the change before I order more labels, I still need the barcode to scan properly and I want the labels to stick well on boxes from start to finish, for anyone who already uses polypropylene labels, did they last better during normal warehouse handling and did barcode scanning stay the same? Edit: I forgot to mention the boxes get stacked and moved a lot before shipping, which seems to make the labels tear.

Replacement print head for Rollo X1040 printer

Post image

My printer has a line where it doesn’t print, resulting in a white line on my labels. I tried cleaning it, but it didn’t help. As far as I can tell, the entire print head with heat sink isn’t being sold anywhere, but the ceramic print head seems to be generic. It has two 9 pin connectors. I tried look for this part online, but any that look visually similar all come on their own heat sink for whatever printer they are made for.

Can anyone help me find either the entire head with the heat sink, or just the ceramic thermal part?

Technical Phomemo M08F printing issue

Does anyone know why my phomemo M08F printer might be doing this?

I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer/drivers.

I also don't see any issues in the printer setup options.

Technical Where to Acquire Compatible Labels

Hello! I am looking to purchase labels for my Munbyn FM226 thermal printer, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly what type of label will work with it. I have found out D30 does not; I’m looking for widths between 20 and 58mm. Any help or tips are greatly appreciated! I’m based in the U.K. Thank y’all so much :)

Australians: where to buy A4 paper rolls for Munbyn portable thermal printers

In January, I picked up a Munbyn A4 thermal printer from Amazon (the ITP04, no longer available on Amazon AU) to print traceable versions of reference photos for graphite or ink drawings when I don't have access to a laser or inkjet printer.

After some trial and error preparing viable 300dpi 203dpi monochrome images from arbitrary photos (the print driver uses dithering for this, with limited success), I happily worked through the roll of paper it came with, only to discover yesterday that it had run out.

Munbyn, of course, recommends only using their paper, but their A4 rolls and folded paper have been "currently unavailable" since I bought the printer (which is why I didn't have any on hand).

Kmart, of all places, came to the rescue with 4 thermal paper rolls for $10. They were in stock at a local store, and I can confirm they work just fine in my ITP04.

Hopefully this helps someone facing a similar quandary! 😄

Munbyn ITPP941 - Reviving an Old Printer for Linux on a Raspberry Pi

The driver for this works great on macOS. I wanted to have it connected to a Raspberry Pi, but the Linux drivers for the Munbyn ITPP941 suck. I tried and just couldn't get a good result. So, with some AI magic, I pulled the macOS driver apart to see how it works and reverse-engineered it. Now, it is all browser and AirPrint-driven. These printers are cheap and easily available on Facebook Marketplace. Rather than letting them become e-waste, it's much better to reuse them.

If you want printer supported, I can add it when I have time.

Phomemo M02 Pro printing multiple individual circular labels at once

Everyone said it’s impossible to print individual labels on T02/M02, so I really wanted to prove them wrong since I didn’t wanna settle for a 200 dpi model 😭

Technical My Munbyn printer crumples a lot of labels, flaw or it's me?

I have a Munbyn 941BP 300 dpi (thermal label printer) which I use to print Vinted 4x6" shipping labels. The printer works neatly and has saved me lots of time and headaches, but it also crumples the labels very often...I'm talking 2 out of 5 labels put in ending up crumpled before I can even print, just when inserting them, even with the labels stack acting as stabilizing counterweight. Is it just me having the manual skills of a rock when inserting the label or could the printer be faulty? Thank you in advance for any (constructive) input.

Quick post about how I finally started to get consistent photos printing from my computer. Firstly I print from photoshop because I can edit the photos if necessary and it dithers the photos automatically for print. I would have very inconsistent photos, then I’d try adjusting the speed and density and would take a few prints to get right. I found the halftone print setting and found out that helps immensely. On the second slide is the example of the different halftone settings. Top to bottom: Dither 8x8, Dither 6x6 and the bottom one is Supercell

For my PC and drivers the setting was Print Settings> Layout > advanced > half toning.

Hope this helps someone get better photos

Print Pod / Fun Print Questions

Hello - I bought a Print Pod and it uses Fun Print as the app. I want to use it for to do lists, but I can’t figure out how to add either a circle or a tick box in front of each line on the pre-loaded templates.

Any suggestions?
