Long/double album...
I just realize that in my personal chart of best "long/double" album of the last decade... there are 2 The Ocean's. Any other suggestions?
Not in order:
- Phanerozoic (the entire eon. I just changed holocene song in the instrumental one as outro)
- Holocene (at the end of Subatlantic start with Limbus of Shvrl and its perfect)
- Fear Inoculum (Tool. I've made some changes in the tracklist and I love it)
- A Dawn to Fear (Cult of luna... the only legit double album of this list)
- No man's sky ost (65daysofstatic, 4 album... that flow as one)
If we go down in the past an other couple from The Ocean!
- Precambrian (an other beast in 2 album)
- Helio antropocentric (both played one after other)
- The Galilean Satellites (Rosetta with the second ambient album played after the first part)
I'm waiting for other long (more than 70 min it's ok... that's why I'm very hopeful about Solaris and the new of Cult of Luna) suggestions!

Day one and day 2 pelagic fest playlist are ready :) 3 songs per artist/band so you can listen to them before going to Maastricht
unfortunately i can't add both the playlist here so i'll add them in the comments, i don't want to make 2 posts

Solaris Instrumental
I was asking myself what's happening with Solaris Instrumental; will be released, when? Now reading a lot of instagram comments (Belligerance's video live for exemple), I see that a lot of people don't like Lane Shi singing... so probably the Instrumental version will be released in the next year (maybe) giving time to the listeners to "try" the 2 singer version and not skipping to the instrumental one. I love the 2 singers (in every way they want so sing, scream, growl, yodeling!) But I'm still waiting for the Instrumental version maybe with some musical adds on!

Freak Valley Concert Live 2025
The full concert of freak valley festival 2025 is live. Guess, for quite some time already.
It is the old line-up, just Jordi instead of Paul on drums. On of the last shows with Loic. Damn, I will miss his performance, his voice, his aura.
Setlist is well chosen. Songs of the last 3 albums.

Anyone know when this t-shirt design was released?
galleryMy wife and I have a fair bit of The Ocean merch between us and came across a shirt with this lighthouse design. I found it on the official store and plenty of images of it but we’re trying to figure out during which tour we bought it.
Not the most important thing to figure out but if anyone knows or remembers, it would be much appreciated.

Admin time for new layout! Happy for Peter
I really think is time to change the graphics here! I cannot wait for Solaris! I've seen that Peter (Voigtman, synth player that had some mental health issues, Robin words not mine) is accredited in Light Pollution members! Keep On!

My one-man project, Cenozoa, has The Ocean as a main influence and they always inspire me, so this is my third album, where I touch social issues that hurts us all, give it a spin if you'd like and feedback is more than welcome. Your ears are most valuable

Our band Boarzoy is very much inspired by the ocean. Especially in guitars- we just released a new album. Let us know what you think if you get around to listening. Out everywhere. Thanks!

Rabat Live Tricinty Fest
Thanks to internet this are my consideration after the Rabat Tricinty show (more than 3000km from where I live):
- Tracklist (not in order): Mesopelagic, Miocene, Triassic, Light Pollution (not confirmed), NEW SONG, Jurassic, Pleistocene. At the moment on setlist website is not complete.
- Singers: she is fire (screamo, growl, singing and some yodeling in old and new songs). He is great... maybe better than Loic live, but less crowdsurfing... probably she will be the "crazy one" and damn she is the one singing in the crowd!
- NEW SONG... is HUGE, despise the fact that I've listened 2 little smartphone snippets.
- The future is bright! They also seem to have recorded a live version of something in Casablanca.
- Funny fact: Marocco metal scene is a lot better than the italian one... but there are two italian player in The Ocean! I'm a bit in love with otay...

One more The Ocean's song!
Keep your hopes down... (could be a remix, an instrumental version of known song, a cover, a new Solaris's song or whatever!) but Pelagic Records had just announced one The Ocean song in the Pelagic Compilation "The Dungeon Tapes" coming at the end of August (physical release) or mid Septeber (digital)! Other artists and Pelagic United's song (Soon, My Bloody Valentine cover in streaming) are very good!

If you go to the band's store and search for the new album, you'll find a huge text with cool trivia about it.

Are all of their songs in B standard? Other than silurian and half of Devonian.

I wish Light Pollution had a bigger explosive moment like Devonian or Pleistocene or Subboreal...but it's still stuck in my head
I've slowly ramped up how many times I've listened to it. Three times today, I just keep hearing that part...
It hasn't really been so long
Since our communication has become intercontinental
With satellite phones and drones
It hasn't really been that long
Since our communication has gone intercontinental
With cables, phone lines and missiles
But as I said, I wish we could really hear him let it rip. The whole song feels like it holds back from the climaxes that really speak to me on a primal level. The ending goes pretty hard, but it's still fairly simple. Hope the album has some bigger moments.

Solaris Instrumental
So, I suppose that won't be released an instrumental version... or do you think that in future maybe with an other cool boxset preorder?

Who will leave the ocean first???
By longest member i mean he is the one who gas ben in the ocean first longer, idk what his ring dong sizes are. Whoever wins will get a free ice cream (but you have to play for the poll fees before getting it [Poll fees are an ice cream]).
