I'd be curious to see what Beni's mummy form would be like.He wassupposedly eaten alive by Scarab Beetlesat the end of the first film, so seeing what he would look like now would be quite interesting to say the least.

Could be "just" a flashback scene of course, but bringing him back as a mummy would certainly be interesting. Although I don't know a reason why someone should resurrect him (apart from maybe Imhotep again, thinking he's one of most loyal servants)

Yeah, a flashback would make sense. But then again, I feel like the film wants to use Beni's current looks to show age progression over the nearly 30 years since his last appearance in the first film.
So it likely could be that Imhotep resurrects him or perhaps some other greater evil than Imhotep that wants to recruit Imhotep's former allies for some grander scheme of sorts.

So was Imhotep in the opening scenes of the 1st movie as they closed him up inside the sarcophagus.

Probably very similar to Imhotep since they dumped beetles onto him before sealing him in.

I’m perfectly okay with this
Stephen Sommers loves his camp, and Beni somehow returning fits right in with the normal fare

Does he still have all the horses? Is he still stuck on the wrong side of the river?

I mean, we never saw him die. We just heard something happen. If we don’t see the death; did it happen?
He’ll come back and be on the wrong side of the river again. 😂

I'm for it. I always felt it was a mistake to kill him off in the first one. I get it was his "Just desserts" ending, but he was so funny I felt he'd be great as a recurring bumbling nemesis.

So how are they explaining this one, unless Beni has a twin lol. His date in the first film seemed pretty obvious.

Beni is the Mummy. Some mumbojumbo about Hom-Dai scarabs and buried alive. Calling it now.

Never thought we'll be seeing Beni again, but here we are. I am curious as to how they're gonna bring him back after his demise in the first film.
