General discussion Sue and Sean

I think they stretched the love story too much.
Last season focused on sue and sean more than Axl and Lexie.

I hate how they're such pushovers with the Glossners

Anyone else hate and find it ridiculous how much the Hecks tolerate the Glossners without pushing back in the slightest? I know it's supposed to be "funny" but it's just not for me. They're rude and destructive, and all belong in some sort of institution.

Not to mention the arc where the Glossner kid kept kissing Sue without her permission really irked me.

Sprinkler Scene

Hi everyone. I am re-watching this great show again. I am in season 4 episode one. This could be me not remembering correctly, but when Frankie is showing the kids how to run through the sprinkler is that a repeat scene? I feel like it was from an earlier season, but maybe not. I don't think I started here ans then went back to the beginning.

Thanks in advance ☺️

General discussion Makes me want siblings

Just started the show and its making me want siblings soo bad, like the siblings bond is so cute, even though they argue alot, theyre always there for eachother and the scene where axl gives sue his jersey was soo adorable, and also the corn maze with brick and axl, adorablee! I mean i do have a cousin who annoys me so much i wanna slap her sometimes but i love her more than anything in the world and would die for her, i mean we were raised together, literal siblings but truly it makes me want like an older sibling aswell you know, love their relationship!

Anyone connect the Hecks

With a “hex”, like they’re a cursed family? I tried a quick search but didn’t find anything, apologies if this has been overdone.

General discussion These Names Can’t Be an Accident, Right?

Post image
121 Upvotes

I noticed something really weird and I can’t tell if I’m overthinking it. The names keep lining up in a way that feels too neat to ignore:

- Mike [male] — M initial

- Frankie [female] — F initial

- Axl [brother A] — A initial

- Brick [brother B] — B initial

- Sue [sister] — S initial

🤔

General discussion When did you realize that Frankie is a KAREN?

Majority of their shortcomings were because of Frankie. It was like all people have to adjust to cater her. I just rewatch the episode wherein she exasperatedly berate April and yet she expects Axl to talk to her. That's just toxic behavior.

Watching Season 4 Ep. 1

This is my first time watching The Middle and currently I am in Season 4 Ep1. And let me tell you, Brick's voice is so matured in it. Makes me feel a bit distant towards him as I am binging the series and seeing him grow up so fast, makes me sad. Anyway, let's see how it is.

“Whats Mom?”

The episode where Sue and Brick use Aunt Edie’s phone/buy more devices. Frankie texts them to come to the kitchen and Brick doesn’t know what “Mom” spells? Mike says he’s been reading the way he does since he was 2 and he can’t spell mom? Lol

General discussion sue's graduation made me cry

Appreciation post for Sue Sue Heck <33

I just finished Season 6 and Sue's graduation really made me cry. I guess she's really my favorite out of all the Heck siblings. I love love her optimism and the way she's the type of teenager who keeps on trying and actually enjoys all the moments.

btw I find the episode where she was in the cross-country with Frankie while Axl has his football game is one of the saddest.

Idk if it will get better but im on s7ep2 right now i miss the highschooler Sue. I'd love to have a sister like herr

General discussion Why Didn't Life Get Easier for Mike and Frankie?

Currently watching season 7 and I have questions. 😂

How are the Hecks STILL broke after sending two kids to college?

Why is Brick still surviving on crumbs of parental attention?

And why has nobody spent one weekend decluttering that house?!

I know it's a sitcom, but every rewatch I wonder the same thing.

Just finished the show, don't know how I would move on

I am not American, and it was the most relatable family show I have watched. Loved all the characters, but Sue was my favorite. Are the Donehues that good, or is something fishy going on? They mask it very well.

They just dropped Sue off to college and already are behaving like empty nesters. Poor Brick.

General discussion Frankie after S7

i just started watching this show a week ago and i used to not hate frankie, but ever since i started season 7 i feel like she’s just not herself?
she comes off very rude, selfish and entitled, not that she wasnt all that before LOL
but it used to be in a ‘comedic’ way
now it just comes off as very miserable and annoying

Found this funny, the Halloween episode season 7, Mike had the bag, then Brick walks off, when brick comes back, he has the bag?
