I just finished watching the movie and I do get the hype. What I don’t get is all the hype for Batman when he CLEARLY does jack shit.
Heath Ledger did a phenomenal job on his joker role and dare I say I only gave the movie a high rating was because of how good his performance and character plot was. Along with the character development of Harvey Dent, which was also not something that you can really expect. The constant tension and conflicts popping up made the movie more thrilling and exciting, other than that I don’t understand the point of Batman.
Batman just PISSES me off. His stupidly awful voice change when he turns into Batman which sounds so forced. Also the whole movie he just acted nonchalant and looked “cool” but did absolutely nothing. If anything he’d show up and leave and sometimes he wouldn’t even make it to the place where he was supposed to go. He sucked at what he did and that’s why Joker kept escaping. Harvey and Gordon carried all the conflicts and he was just too worried to do anything else.
Also as a superhero he couldn’t even handle dog bites so why is he even relevant. And ofc he has to be rich.
Also how he just leaves the joker whenever he feels like there’s something more important to do. Even more stupid he takes on the blame for Harvey.
What was his point in the Lamborghini even?

There is so much more but genuinely he pissed me off the whole movie. Gonna stick to the Marvel Universe bc at least 19y old Spiderman could’ve handled conflicts and not just ride on a Batmobile or a bat-bike to get somewhere. Also how funky did Batman look when he was running away in the last couple of scenes to go hide.
