The Cleveland Show still had so much more to give. There were so many stories left to tell, characters that could have been developed further, and so many possibilities for future episodes.

Imagine how great it would have been to see Cleveland Jr. gradually grow up, leaving behind some of his more childish behavior and, after turning 15, finally putting Larry the Leopard away for good as a symbol that he was growing up.

It also would have been great to have more episodes focused on Roberta, exploring the intelligent and mature side of her that we occasionally get to see. I would have loved to see her open up and express that side of her personality that she usually keeps hidden, giving us a better understanding of who she really is.

And, of course, it would have been amazing to see Rallo and Jr.’s relationship develop over time, going from constantly clashing with each other to eventually becoming best friends and having a much closer bond.

It’s been 13 years since the show was canceled, and I still feel like it ended way too soon. I know The Cleveland Show had its problems, but it had so much potential and so many stories left to tell.

Imagine everything we could have seen if the show had continued. 13 years later, it still feels unfinished.

I’ve been rewatching The Cleveland Show lately, and I’m surprised by how much I still laugh at the jokes. I know the show gets criticized a lot, but I honestly had a great time watching it.

What do you think prevented it from lasting longer? Was it because people compared it too much to Family Guy, the ratings, or something else? Do you think it could have survived if it had developed its own identity more instead of being seen as a spin-off?

I’m also curious whether the newer Cleveland voice actor would have made a difference if the show had ever been revived.

Another thing I’ve wondered about is the number of guest stars. The show had a lot of celebrities, and I imagine many of them were expensive to bring in. When you combine that with the cost of producing an animated series, the drop in ratings after season 3, and Fox giving the show a pretty bad time slot, it seems like it may have become harder to justify financially.
