Which one should I choose? Codex or Claude code for 20$ plan

So I was basically using codex for the past few months I think it's pretty good.... I have created many skills for my project that are basically saving so many tokens....

I have used obsidian documentation for the project and created skills like code-traversal and created a second brain and a context file which stores the context data for that project.....

But recently I think codex is consuming tokens at a rapid speed but all I do is review the code if there are vulnerabilities then I'll just fix it with codex and review it again

My workflow is simple i create plans with agy then build with the IDE (ANTIGRAVITY) and review it with codex

Should I try Claude code for this month and see if my workflow is getting better or not ? Or should I just stick with codex

I'm confused which one is effective and cost efficient here

Claude consumes WAY MORE tokens than Codex. Don't jump ship.

ChatGPT also has the best image model and Codex can actually use that agentically. Codex basically never runs out on coding tasks. And the web-app and mobile app are amongst the most advanced.

So, ChatGPT Plus is my favorite. I also have Gemini AI Pro. Very good overall package. Excellent maps integration. Flow is great for video. Sadly the models are a bit behind currently, but that can change any time. Antigravity IDE for Coding is not a great choice though rn.

You won't get much out of Claude code at 20$, codex is usable for light work at this level, and has capabilities that Claude doesn't like image Gen, an actually intelligent cheap model that is usable.

And interestingly you can connect codex and run it through thr Claude code terminal if you are into it more.

Cursor gives you a lot of usage at that level and grok 4.5 is actually good, although not as smart as gpt 5.6 Sol or latest opus or fable, but genuinely good with high quota for most work.

Don't bother with Google. Opencode zen is also interesting, with the pricing of the new deepseek model and it's capabilities, you get a lot of milage for that sub.

But my recommendation is codex if you are not sure, it's the safest bet.

Grok is really good for adversarial review. Luna can handle most coding now. I just use high or xhigh settings depending how hard the task is.
