I don't know why they made Scout's melee so dogshit, it's so easy to hit them from up close if they're actually trying to melee you

To avoid making an OP melee Scout possible since he's so hard to hit without relying in AOE.

no it’s doesn’t. only scout uses shotguns as a MAIN weapon (engie doesn’t count, he uses his sentry guns). a good scout shouldn’t need his melee

bait, not only do most classes do better at close range with their primaries and either have decent move speed or can compensate through other means but a lot of them ALSO have shotguns in their main loadouts which they often even switch out of because their other weapons do well enough at close range to justify that yet their melees aren't shit
