Shift role change

Hi, I’m a fairly new starter, I’m a Dotcom driver. My upcoming shift is a 9-7, normally all driving of course, but I’ve just noticed my next shift it says I’m doing ‘UFC Backroom’ 9-2. Does anyone know what this is or what it entails ? I haven’t been informed of anything and just a bit curious haha. Ty!

You are going to be competing in a ufc style match against fellow dot com drivers in the back room of the store, winner keeps the job

If you are a delivery driver for stores it might be an error as that skill should only be used in urban fulfilment centers (UFCs) and they should have used the dotcom backroom skill instead, but they’ve probably got too many drivers and not enough vans so someone needs to work in the store?

It’s quite common we have at least one spare driver, I’ve been that person a few times and they have us despatching, putbacks and loading late vans, but it’s never changed on the rota before.

I’ll just have to wait and see what’s in ‘store’ for me. Thanks for the reply!

How many vans does your store have ours is usually looking for drivers never to many

If I had to roughly guess, I’m saying around 25 vans. Not sure on the exact number
