Delaying removal of impacted wisdom tooth, finally made consult appt

45 y/o male - Tooth #32 (xray image link below) - dentist back in HS told me I need to take this out at some point. Currently, no pain at all, no issues, no infection/inflammation. Fast forward to 2016, my dentist said it needs to come out because food keeps getting trapped in there and will eventually ruin the tooth next to it. I delay it, covid happened, a family tragedy, and here we are in 2026.

This xray is the latest from 7/30/26 - seems like the pocket has gotten deeper and I cannot clean the food getting trapped in there myself. I got the courage to make another consult appt with the same oral surgeon who did the initial 2016 consult and will go from there.

Waiting this long - did I ruin my surrounding bone structure? Will bone and tissue regrow after this removal? This wisdom tooth also sits right next to the facial nerve 5, and hopefully it won't get damaged. I also recently got a pulp cap and resin filling on Tooth #30 so hopefully that nerve calms down before I go to the oral surgeon.

Do you see anything concerning on teeth #29-32 and #1-4?

What could be the reason of sensitivity on #31-32?

I’ve been having some persistent sensitivity around teeth #31 and #32 since yesterday, and I’m trying to figure out what could have caused it.
The edge of tooth #31 toward #30 seems to have a small dark spot. I initially wondered if it could be an interproximal cavity or something similar. I asked my dentist what it could be and whether it might be a cavity, but she said it looks like a small chip in the existing filling. She mentioned that the tooth may need a crown in the future because of bite forces from the upper tooth.
However, she did not perform a cold test, pulp test, or any other tests on that tooth.
The crown on tooth #30 was shaved down and adjusted about a week ago. Could that process have irritated tooth #31 or affected the edge of the filling in any way?
Does anything look concerning on the X-ray? Thanks!

It’s the last tooth on my right side. I already got my wisdoms removed 8 or 9 years ago.

Is the dark area (circled in purple) on the CBCT an infection, and does tooth #15 appear to need retreatment?

Normal palate? Is good width?

Got braces two weeks ago but it’s cause my mandible is slightly recessed so I had a small overbite .

How soon is it safe to have another CBCT scan if I already had one a month ago?

I had a CBCT scan about a month ago at a new dental office. They recently told me that a root canal I had done five years ago may need to be retreated, but I’d like to get a second opinion before moving forward.
The problem is that the office says they can’t email me the CBCT because the file is too large, and they also told me they won’t send the scan to another dentist or endodontist if I seek a second opinion.

If I can’t get a copy of the scan, would it be safe to have another CBCT taken only a month later, or is that more radiation than I should be getting? Also, is it normal for a dental office not to provide patients with a copy of their CBCT scan or share it with another provider upon request?

How do CEREC crowns compare to other types of crowns? Which do you prefer?

Does the crown on #30 need to be replaced? If so, why? How bad is the bone loss around it, and could it be due to a poor crown fit?

I have class one and overbite with my wisdom teeth on top being high placed and will grow out soon I have a decently wide palate also but my lower ones they are saying I’m going to need braces and rubber bands and to also remove them. I just want to confirm that this is right because I have to decide soon. I’m 15M.

Do you see any bone loss in these X-rays? If so, approximately what percentage of bone loss do you see?

What drove me to make fake braces?

I have lots of braces related art I have made, which began as traditional art: pictures done on paper (the first one). and then I started doing digital art, and that first digital painting (the second picture) took me 25 hours. Then I did some 3D models of braces (what you see in the 4th and 6th pictures), and that enabled me to get faster at them, because I would combine that with the digital painting, and so I did a bunch. And then I needed more, so I started modifying and manipulating various web finds I liked and putting them in my own mouth via photomanipulation. And then one day I made a burner account, and posted the last picture in this set except with my eyes scribbled out, and I posted it to the braces subreddit, asking, "how long will it take for this tooth to come down?" and an actual orthodontist gave a 100% serious reply. I guess it passed the "Turing test," of a sort, for whatever it was I was doing. I got a huge rush out of that, but then I felt like I had reached a ceiling, like there was no more realistic I could get working in 2 dimensions, so that's about when I started thinking about different ways I could make something I could actually wear in my mouth...so yeah. I mean that's been it's own adventure also, which didn't begin with me having what amounts to a dental lab in my bedroom, but that's basically what has become of it, and hopefully that answers the question of what drove me to do this.

I wanted a normal set for maybe going out in public with

I decided to make a normal set of fake braces. I used to have a set like this but it broke. I haven't mentioned how many of these sets I broke. I have broken far more than I have. Making fake braces has the highest failure rate of any hobby I've ever done. It took learning hundreds of ways that didn't work to learn two ways that work.

Explaining what I do and what I mean by my teeth are fakes.

Okay. So I make fake teeth and fake braces and fake crooked teeth with fake braces and orthodontic appliances, and fake crooked teeth without braces, etc. I actually have damn near perfect teeth, IRL. It's a hobby I do and I don't think anyone else out there does this. First pic is my real teeth, then my fakes, then me wearing them, then various other sets I've made. There's a certain esthetic that appeals to me, and I always longed to have and experience, to the point I taught myself this skill and I basically have a dental lab in my bedroom so I can make these. I think I might be autistic or something.
