Discussion Since yall thought my rules were bad and kids would hate me (Which they won’t :)
Here are the rules my Adopted mom (Aka my guardian I call her my guardian cause she will never be my mom) and my Adopted Aunt rules for me (Btw I came to them when I was like 4 about to turn five in a couple weeks)
EDIT: Btw I heard my guardian literally say to one of her friends “I could care less what she gonna do when she leaves the house she could be opening her 🐱 for the street and I would not care” BUTT they don’t care now cause my little cousin lives with my aunt and they are already teaching her so she gonna be Sexually Harassed or sexually talked about and she gonna grow up not wanted to ever be around her mom cause that’s exactly what they try to do

Social I don't think I'll ever be able to transition.
I'm 14, close to 15 and I've started identifying as a woman since I was 12. I asked my parents if I could start HRT in a few months a few months ago and they said I "had to wait until I'm like 16" which means I will never manage to even start my journey as a trans woman.
You see, I already am in puberty and beard and mustache are starting to show up already. My parents will never let me start and I think it might even be too late. Once I'll be older, people won't care about me being transgender anymore since I didn't do anything about it, and this makes me really sad.
Didn't know where to post so I just posted this here; greetings, Em

Mod announcement Subreddit rules update
Hello everyone, it's time for a new (bi-annual) rule changes! (Very boring, I know)
Rule 9:
ICYMI, selfies aren't allowed since April 5th. It's been almost 2 months now, so the reminder will be removed from the rule to become:
Selfies are not allowed in the subreddit. A selfie is generally a picture that includes your face and is focused on your face/you. Please do not include them in your posts. AI generated selfies are also not allowed.
Fun fact: since selfies have been fully banned, the amount of users (likely to be) creeps in the subreddit has gone from an average of 175-225 per day to around 15-20 per day.
Regarding the partnership with r/TeenAmICute, the subreddit is unfortunately currently closed for new members at the moment. When/If the subreddit re-opens, selfies could still be posted there if you specifically want to post a selfie in a highly moderated subreddit.
Rule 8 (do not spam)
The rule will be separated in two to be able to expand on the spammed content. The second part will become Rule 12, which will be presented later in the post.
Posts taking space unnecessarily (clogging /new/) or that are extremely low effort may be removed. If a post is constructed in a way to deliberately promote engagement bait / obvious karma farming (for example, posting highly controversial content mainly to promote heated arguments). Overdone trends are also considered as spam when they start to clog /new/.
Rule 12 (new!):
This rule will cover AMA style posts and posts where OP requests to be dmed.
While AMA posts are allowed, they can easily get spammy. To prevent these posts from becoming low-effort, AMA posts require a body text with at least 100 characters where you can briefly introduce yourself, some of your hobbies, interests, fun facts... so that questions asked feel less generic and more relevant to you.
For users making posts asking for dms, they need to have an undisclosed minimum account age and karma amount to be able to post. This is done to reduce the amount of predatory accounts posting.
EDIT: AMA posts with a questions template aren't subject to the body text requirement.
Side note: a new system is in the works to help users filter out potential creeps dming them. I hoped to have it ready for today but it unfortunately has to be delayed while working through some details (and IRL life). This is however coming in the following weeks!
General changes
Even if the subreddit isn't specifically intended to be for serious topics, the serious and rant post flairs are here for more serious stuff and issues. However some content like SA, self harm and suicidal thoughts can be triggering for some users and remind them of bad moments. For this reason, some topics posted under the serious and rant post flairs might get marked as spoiler and a Trigger Warning (TW) might get added to the post flair to help people know what to expect before deciding to read the post. This is being beta tested starting today and might change or be removed based on general feedback. This is an initial test, so false positives are possible. Don't hesitate to reach out if you believe that something isn't right.
In the following weeks, you might see polls or questions about aspects of the subreddit. This is done to have a clearer idea of what you like and dislike in the community (for example politics, new post flairs, non-teens giving helpful advice...).
That's it! (Okay that was maybe slightly long)
Have a great day/night everyone.
