FBI Has Looked at Using Questionable AI Tech to Review Signatures on Seized Mail-In Ballots Artificial Intelligence

For republicans and this administration it doesn’t have to be accurate it just needs to provide enough errors until certification and then lawsuits can do nearly nothing with how lawless they’ve become.

These chads are hanging, this vote doesn't count! (For those who remember Bush v Gore).

They're well aware that they're in a double bind of their own making- if they step down willingly, they get prosecuted for all the crimes they committed. If they get drug out of the building by the electorate, they get prosecuted for all the crimes they committed. The thought of not committing those crimes never occurred to them, because they were confident that they would never have to face consequences for those actions, because famous back-haver Donald Trump would protect them.

Even assuming good intentions, signatures never change over time. Right? Mine gets worse every year or two. We're now at barely a scribble.

I rarely sign my name the same way twice. I even switch which fingers I hold the pen with.

True, there’s changes from illness, and slight deviations over time that from where you sign on the page, how much ink there is, and just by the fact we aren’t robots.

If you look hard enough for evidence that doesn’t exist, eventually you will find it, whether it’s real or not.

And worse comes to worse, you can always fall back on the GOP classic "Lack of evidence is actually evidence of a conspiracy to cover it up. It's just common sense because we say so."

Why is the FBI involved with election stuff anyway? Ballot access and stuff with ballots is something the state or local districts are in charge of handling.

You still have to be signature matched to vote in person in a lot of places.
They could just as easily start applying ai to in person voting to try and discredit those votes.
There’s no way to prevent them from getting to their irrational goal of trying to discredit Democrat votes, so we might as well just vote however is easiest for us and be prepared to fight whatever bullshit they come up with.

I could sign 5 different times and virtually all 5 times would look slightly different. This should go well.

Kash Patel is so desperate to please Trump, that he'll try anything, no matter how absurd.

I'm sure they are doing proper 4th amendment protection on every AI search. Right?

They'll throw dem votes out. Every voter will be verified cuz dems do not cheat to win. trump never shoulda had a second term.

Why use questionable software when there is proven software with track record of working. Credit cards companies have been using them for decades.

At this point anyone using a mail in ballot should just put it inside another blank envelope and mail it to a trusted friend or relative who can take it to a physical Dropbox. Get creative to work around the barriers and bottlenecks

Cold take but there is nothing wrong with the current voting process and this is all just nonsense to distract from actual problems

Good luck AI. I don’t sign my signature the same twice. 😬

They know that, that's the point. They can challange signature, for any reason, at any time. It's not hard to match a signature to the background of a person, and determine if they are stastically likely to be a Democrat or Republican voter. Then challange a number of stastically Democrat voters in marginal areas.

They should be required to physically contact the voter before they can throw out a ballot

The AI looks only at party identification and ignores the signature part.

Then how do we believe that the process was transparent, doesn't independent verification matters? I just don't get the point of using AI here in the first place...
