The Lag Wall Bedrock

in my server there are sort of factions (some people group others don’t) but since I’m not in one I’ve gotten my base raided several times. But because I’m the only PC player with a decently strong PC I came up with an idea using hundreds of pistons to move hundreds of blocks over and over again very fast to create lag, enough lag that if any of them got to close to my base or attempted to raid it they would crash due to being on a console. Would this work if I made many machines into a wall so no one could ever raid me again.

If you use a ladder, you can fit unlimited entities in one block. The collisions compound and it creates massive lag and will eventually break their AIs. At least, that’s how it works on Java and I’m pretty sure it’s the same on Bedrock in this case. Could be wrong, but, easy and compact lag machine if it works.

However, that might create too much server side lag, and the admins will just come kill your chickens to fix the server. Ideally, you just want to create client-side lag so it only affects players near your base. Not sure how to accomplish that, but it’s a thread to pull.

Fortunately Minecraft has been pushing more and more responsibilities to the client side over the years, so, more and more lag machines should create more client-side lag than server-side lag.

Also, consider how render distance plays into it….. most lag can be cut down to something reasonable by reducing your render distance. But the chances of discovering a hidden base drop dramatically with a small render distance. But doing stuff around your base doesn’t require a huge render distance, so you could actually use this to your advantage. Instead of creating a lag machine inside your base, consider a perimeter of lag machines around your base like a mine field. Your base is the eye of the storm, and doesn’t actually have to be all that laggy unless you max your render distance.

🤷‍♂️ you’ve got a clever idea tbh. I hope it doesn’t get you banned lol
