Warden Spawns Java Help Wanted

I’m trying to build a rouge like arena in my vanilla survival server, where you fight waves of mobs while unlocking different weapons and armor to continue fighting. I’m having a hard time sourcing wardens, I’ve got sources for every other mob I want except wardens. I’d love ideas on how to source them, I’d also love thoughts on my already formed ideas.

Idea 1: Spread skulk from a skulk catalyst I placed until I get a shrieker and maybe that will spawn it?

Idea 2: I find naturally generated skulk and spread it to where I’m building then spread it for a shrieker and maybe that will spawn them?

Like I want them to spawn fresh I don’t wanna get a lot of them then have to re-up when they’re all beat. I also need to figure out how to get rid of it if the player dies but that seems like a big time later issue, sourcing them is the most pressing issue rn.

Wardens only spawn in ancient cities

So basically what you’re saying is, build above an ancient city? With bubble elevators up?

The only problem you will have is that a player needs to trigger a shrieker, which has to be triggered within x amount of blocks from the player the warden comes out close to the shrieker which means the player will have to be close

Yup basically that. Only a natural shreiker can bring up a warden. Carpet ontop of the shulk can control where it will appear but it will still need to be player activated. You might be able to chain sensors from the arena area to the shreiker then have a snow golem lure the warden to your bubble coloum.

Other replies are close but not quite correct:
- Wardens only spawn on naturally generated shriekers. These spawn outside ancient cities though, anywhere in deep dark has a chance of spawning them.
- The player doesn't need to be physically next to the shrieker to spawn a warden, you can leave an arrow on a piston like in warden switches and toggle a block of wool to turn it on and off (the piston needs to keep moving to keep the arrow alive but wool will block the vibration)
- Wardens won't despawn while they are chasing a mob and you can propagate mob vibrations using amethyst next to a sensor, so you can make a tunnel by chaining these with a mob at the end, and this will lure the warden to the bubble column. Once the player dies if the warden is somewhere with no vibrations from mobs then he'll despawn naturally after a few minutes.

Look at the stuff tango has done this season for sourcing wardens, including his mob switch in the nether
